Hi guys, I just got my claws on a CM Storm Enforcer and the thing is that I'm thinking of filling up the fan slot on the thing.. The casing has just another slot available for me to fit a fan to.. Here's the deal, I'm not sure if it would be better fitting one larger 200mm cooling fan on the top or two 120mm fans there.. Any ideas/suggestions that would help me out?
Thank you.. |

I've no idea what to do with my casing.. I think I should drop another fan in there but seems unnecessary right now for one and the 200mm fans are HARD to come by..

Hey Polytechnic, how much you wanna set aside for your casing? My personal suggestion, if you don't mind the size and the price, look for a full tower computer case cause if you're gonna continue upgrading it, you want that extra room inside to keep dropping more stuff in.. That being said, what I did was estimate how much I was gonna spend for the computer's interior parts THEN start looking for casing because if you wanna build a solid gaming rig, casing get any of the CoolerMaster HAF series would serve you adequately well unless you plan to overclock and drop water cooling inside.. Also, your budget is for the CPU alone or inclusive of display?

That CM Storm Trooper is so fricking cool.. If I got one of those, first thing I'd do is stick a nicely placed Galactic Empire sticker on the casing, cliched but true.. XD

I'm using the Storm Enforcer.. The reason I took it was mainly cause it looks so freakin' cool and also the top bay comes ready with USB 3.0... But I'll be frank and say that in terms of performance, the HAF series are actually a bit better than the CM Storm series (Storm Trooper excluded).. Final thing is that choose based on how much you willing to splurge on your computer's tower.. I initially used an Elite 430 then sold it off and upgraded to my CM Storm Enforcer..
Not something I'd recommend considering the amount of work I had to do to transfer all my stuff but that can be an option for you to choose.. |
