Cooler Master shows its V6 CPU cooler

Six "V" heatpipes

Cooler Master has announced its latest CPU cooler, the V6. The new V6 features "V" heatpipe design and asymmetrical aluminium fins in its heatsink in order to maximize performance.

As noted, the V6 features double "V" heatpipes, asymmetrical aluminium fins and optional snap-on dual fan setup. The V-shaped heatpipe array isn't something that you see often in cooler desing and according to Cooler Master, this one helps in heat dissipation by providing a clear path under both mid and high air pressure situations.

The asymmetrical aluminum fins feature is designed so it accelerates airflow due to specific airflow behaviour of the attached 120mm PWM fan.

The V6 is cooled by a 120mm PWM fan with red LED lights that spins from 800 to 2200 RPM and produces between 34.02 to 93.74 CFM of airlow. The dimensions of the entire cooler are 131.5x120x165mm and it features a copper base paired up with 55x0.3mm aluminium fins and six 6mm heatipipes.

The new V6 is compatible with Intel Socket LGA 1355/1156/775 as well as the AMD Socket AM3/AM2+/AM2 processors. The new V6 CPU cooler should appear in retail during next few weeks and we expect a price below €50.

@hahn87, Haha.. It has been quite some time since i last cleaned the PC. LOL. Moreover now got new toy already. The centurion 5 be abandon for a while.
Anyway, sorry for asking this noob question. Been new to casing. Does the HAF air ventilation better then the storm?
*
definitely, smile.gif

HAF = High Air Flow

but still, if u do set d proper fans in d right position, any case can have a good air flow

But since they are using Water cooling..the temperature between internal mount and external mount might only 1C~2C differences..
somemore mount the radiator in internal look more nice and neat
*
tis my friend, is crucial when it comes to overclocking in terms of success and failure smile.gif

anyways, i oso prefer everything to be mounted inside laugh.gif

my fan only run about 500rpm optimum and about 800 on performance.. but which fan r u talking abt? processor or? my processor fan also running at about 1500rpm but it will reach 2200rpm on load
its sickleflow, shud be 10% +/- from max 2000rpm. in fact all d fans in my casing were d same type.lol laugh.gif

btw, d problematic one were my front intake...

for those who wish to change their fans to excalibur, not recommended for those who prefer tranquility

jz change my V8 fan wif it, damn it sounds like a jet engine right now sweat.gif

n another thing to share wif V8 users, excalibur is NOT meant to be used wif it, as d clips at the 'V8 logo/plastic cover' would not snap, so it'll not be properly fasten. yet d fan will still be screwed n still can be run jz fine

The default V8 fan is already actually quite loud under full speed @ 2200 RPM.
*
i don't think so, d max so far would be 1900rpm. only excalibur for now reaches 2200rpm smile.gif

n i'm using d similar 'default' fan for d V8 which is sickleflow all around in my casing. excalibur's sound were more... sweat.gif

y not try to lower down the speed when you do not want to use it? i tot V8 comes with a regulator..

my V6GT even worse it doesnt come with the regulator and it always run on max speed 2.2k rpm until i control it using Asus Fan Expert
*
i prefer to run it to its max all d time so tat my proc won't overheat. after all, i oc it quite aggressively, frm 3.2 to 3.9GHz currently for phenom II X4 tongue.gif

btw, tuniq tx-2 + excalibur = 3~4'C diff compared to my previous reading using CM's thermal paste n sickleflow thumbup.gif

edit : oh btw, i dun mind d noise most of d time act tongue.gif

What do I do with my V8 then?  laugh.gif  laugh.gif
Expensive when I bought it zzz

Didn't know V6 is better. cry.gif
*
dual fan wor, of course la more powderful than our V8... sad.gif

anyways, i did few tests last nite regarding d side panel's fan. previously it's set as intake n blow directly to my GC's exhaust. tested without the fan running n finally as exhaust

conclusion

no fan = temperature is still d same compared to previous intake configuration BUT it takes a while for my GC to cool down to the respective idle temp

exhaust = the best i think due to the fact that it helps in reducing the temp of my GC in 1~2'C
