I'm guessing cos the V8 won't fit unless you remove the top casing fan right?

QUOTE(Ulysses @ Oct 22 2010, 10:47 AM) Nope unless you mod it: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1499180Easier method then the above would be just modding the HDD tray and slotting the card into the 2nd PCI slot. This post has been edited by JasonSky: Oct 22 2010, 10:53 AM |

QUOTE(nas06 @ Oct 22 2010, 07:30 PM) As a Scout owner (Natasha), really admired your work there. Good job. Thanks for the comments >.<Scout is pretty challenging case to hide in the cables behind the mobo tray. Depending on your hardware's cables (PSU cables), every single one can be hide and tuck properly by placing it at the right place. If the 24pin cable is long enough, one can route it from below to the top just like Jason did. Regardless on how the Scout looks, its an all rounder. Made for medium sized hardwares. But yeah fitting in the 24 pin from the top was very challenging and actually cut my hands in the process as well haha This is a guide which I used to manage by cables ![]() |

QUOTE(nas06 @ Oct 22 2010, 08:53 PM) Aha, good point there. Same method like you but I route the 24 pin cable from the bottom to the side opening. As most of my other cables are routed from the bottom I didn't want to add the 24 pin through it as well. I did try it out but similar to you had trouble closing the right panel. So had to go through the top and force in the 24 pin from the top haha. Tough work but happy with the end results. The cable is few inches shorter and a couple of inches thicker. Pretty hard to route em'. Even closing the right side panel needs a bit of a push after routing the cables in. I think the sleeved cables makes it harder to hide cables at the back due to the bulk. Notice that some PSUs (CM & Corsair) are moving to modular flat cables which I think will make ones cabling life easier. |
