Please recommend a good casing around RM150 which is as good as Xigmatek Asgard pro and has usb 3.0 and good cable management

And must have side window

Looking at Elite 311 Plus. Can fit long long long HD6950?? And what's the pros and cons vs Xigmatek Asgard Pro?

Ok now I'm seriously thinking about CM HAF 912 Advanced liao. Design and side window is damn sweet drool.gif

Anyone knows where can I get it the cheapest in LYP preferably?

Just got my desktop rig yesterday together with a CM Elite 311 plus wub.gif

One thing though, the front fan (blue led fan) is a little noisy. What sort of fan should I be looking for something quieter(and also powerful) and without the led light ( want to tidur with my pc on doh.gif )

are you sure its hot? mine doesnt hot with the same casing as yours...

but i do use AC F12 at rear part...the air flow is kinda better compare to stock fan..
*
Maybe I should say warm, slightly towards hot? biggrin.gif

But damn noisy the fan when on full load (gaming). Do you recommend 2 Artic f12 fans for front and rear?

OR change casing to HAF 912 Advanced using stock fan

Which should be better? hmm.gif

There is no perfect solution for this, u want a cooler temperature for sure the fan speed will be higher and noise level will be higher as well. So it's better if u use pwm fan since u are not always on full load.
Not really slowpoke la, this case just released on computex at taipei last few weeks iinm

go for PWM as recommended.  rclxms.gif

PWM fan? Is the Artic f12 a pwm fan?

I'm thinking of changing the front fan only- if bigger than 120mm also can since I read in the website can put in 140mm fan? hmm.gif

It's a lot more silent than my CM Elite 311+ and more powerful right? This is why I'm planning to change hmm.gif

For the GPU fan (which makes the most noise), I'll let it run slower probably around 60% and depend more on front and rear fans biggrin.gif

Logical? hmm.gif

Yup arctic f12 is pwm fan.
not sure whether will be more silent or not since i don know spec of stock fan
But arctic f12 is quite popular here in lyn
gpu cooling i think is depend on the after market cooling fan
correct me if im wrong smile.gif

Doesn't say much. But I heard in this forum that Artic F12 is silent. So should be way better than the stock fan right?

Btw, easy to install fan? hmm.gif

Possible to modify 3 artic f12 pwm fans to be fitted onto my HD5870?? biggrin.gif

I think instead of replacing casing fan, better I get extra fans to blow to GPU since it's the noisiest part. At 80% it's OMG damn noisy.

So possible ah? I dunno how to pasang myself though sad.gif Wonder who can tolong me sad.gif

Ok now, coming from a CM Elite 311+ , now looking for a better casing since forummers pointed out that no point having a GPU cooler if my casing ventilation is bad itself.

I like the design of the HAF 912 Advanced very much but I'm kinda open towards others as well. Which would you guys recommend for something below RM300? smile.gif

Or how about a CM 690II Advanced? biggrin.gif

If possible, priority would be a quiet casing with good ventilation and hopefully GPU temperature around 75C and below on full load, GPU fan around 50%

Huh??  blink.gif the 311+ is a very good chassis compared to its predecessor 310, not only on the ventilation part but also on the cable management so.. there is actually no need to replace the chassis itself actually IMO

GPU heat buildup could be caused by dust buildup as well, clean your GPU and see if there is a difference but at 80C its normal in load for GPU

if the noise is bothering you so much then get the Artic Acellero 7970for the tripple fan setup or the Passive-cooling Accelero S1 like kherel77 mentioned
*
I'm not exactly sure about ventilation but because someone pointed out that using a GPU cooler like the Accelero Extreme Plus II on a casing with bad ventilation would be pointless.

I just got my dekstop like almost a week ago, so I don't think dust is quite an issue.

The passive cooling, I don't quite understand actually. Pasang onto the GPU itself? I understand that it's passive cooling though..

QUOTE(kherel77 @ Jun 16 2012, 03:38 PM)
^+1

First thing first, to avoid unnecessary cost.
1. Clean up GPU heat-sink & fan
2. Re-applied new & good thermal paste
3. Add additional fan toward your GPU, for Elite 311 i think can fit the fan at HDD cage (whether using screw or cable tight, need to mod a bit)

If still not satisfy you, then its up to you to change the better airflow casing...as good active/passive third party cooler also cost a bomb...IMHO.

Added on June 16, 2012, 3:40 pmFor step 3, better open all unused PCI slot cover for better airflow...
*
HDD Cage, you mean just below the DVD writer area...the black area there, unused dvd write slot? Here can put extra fan?

Attached Image

And also another thing, I noticed my front fan is blowing at the "brackets" near the HDD there. The brackets are restricting air flow into the main casing compartment at all! How do you suggest I modify?

Yes. But need some creative idea how to fix the fan to that cage.
Third party cooler is replacing original manufacturer cooler. Need some knowledge & skill to choose & install.

Some sample got from Worklogs

[attachmentid=2896646]
If you use 2 or less HDD, why not transfer it to below HDD cage & ditch the upper cage so the air flow from front fan will not obstructed... Plus, replaced it with high air-flow fan...
*
Ok. I try and see whether I can transfer it to the lower cage and remove the middle and top one.

My front fan is rated as

Front: 120 x 25 mm blue LED fan x1, 1200 rpm, 140 mm fan x1 (Optional)

http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6706

An Artic F12 PWM (or Pro version) should be way better than the front fan right? And quieter too hmm.gif

Also can place a 140mm fan hmm.gif

Only upper HHD cage can be remove. Yeah, you can consider F12 for replacement. or find 140mm fan with ><1000rpm...like me.  biggrin.gif , very quite also...

Thanks bro. Now im in lowyat now. Looking for best 140mm fan and hopefully silent. Any recommendations? biggrin.gif

The mobo fan pin can fit my old CM fan perfectly but cant fit at all with this new Arctic f12 cry.gif And yes, no converter/adapter cry.gif
