Just want to ask.

My property is with cimb under the homeflexi.
If I withdraw from EPF AcII, will the funds be withdrawable?

One of my friends did it and they were able to withdraw the funds.

Another friend however did it and was not able to withdraw the funds.
The money went to reduce his home lone directly.

Both accounts are flexi accounts and from the same CIMB bank.

Any Advice or experience.

if first time withdrawal, they will bank into any bank account you nominated, straight to your name. if second withdrawal to lower down the loan amount, then it depends.

depends on whether your flexi loan is under Conventional or Islamic.

If under Islamic, there will be 2 seperate accounts, current account and loan account. When you withdraw EPF account 2, it will pay straight to the loan account, hence you are not able to drawdown from this account.

You can drawdown if under conventional, because they only have 1 account, combining the current plus the loan account. when pay into this combined account, you can then write cheque to cash it out.

My friends account was conventional. when he checked his account from the atm facility that comes with it. he did not see any money there. only some access payment he made before.

when he called up cimb, he was told his loan that was 354k is now 290k. this was after the epf to reduce the loan.
