thanks edwardc, yup, those early edition of the diecast models has retractable hard top, i think there are several models have these function too.

I have these two models too. But very rare now, there use to be alot of these dealer edition long time ago in major mercedes benz showroom in Klang valley few years back. i remember getting these two after hunting and searching at third showroom in batu caves branch as the federal highway and klang branch has no more of these stock.
You can try at new showroom branch such as Puchong branch and new branch at jalan sultan ismail, others i can't remember as i've seen these at authorised mercedes spare parts shop some where in Taman Maluri (behind Jusco) and another in SEA PARK.

AMG_soh, here's my dealer edition SLR version......
still one of my favourites models although in maisto quality, the only credits here are only maisto has the license to produce these SLR Dealer Edition prototype in the market. These pictures was taken few years back, only today i've managed to re-edit it to post it again.
As for the Vision SLR Coupe , i've got Lewis Hamilton signature on the front hood last year at Sepang F1 race. Will try to take photos of it later.

Try contact the local distibutor maisto (Lian Aik Toys) in shah alam. they might have the extra SLR mclaren black and silver edition. If you purchase from them at the HQ, you will get 20% discount from retail price but i can't guarantee that now wether the availability of the stock and the discount given. I used to visit and bought from them many years back.

wow! didn't realise that ralliart price has skyrocket!! Lucky i got mine few years back at below RM400.

we had no choice, as the reason given are the cost of raw material in producing diecast metal and other revelants parts are increasing every year.

LOL! lets us looks on the bright side, collecting die-cast models are pure hobby. There are high price to pay and there are also very cheap drop down to earth bargain price you can get. Cheers eveyone!

ok, here's my 1/18 scales Corvette C6 by Hotwheels, very cheap......about RM50 . Bought from Mattel warehouse sale few years back.
