Well i think the someone mentioned that the multitasking on Iphone is not true multasking since currently any app that you open when pressed the HOME key it closes but shows up in the multitasking tab..a multitasking app will continue where it was stopped but on the Iphone it restarts all over again..i tested this with games and it restarts all over...

and to be honest i dont see it having an adverse effect on the battery life with the so called multitasked app minimized might i say iOS4 has improved the battery life by a bit..my batt levels are at 42% with a few calls and sms'es and short games....and yet with these apps coming up on the multitasking tan

I think for the moment the multitasking is just to show what are the apps that you've opened recently when you invoke it it restarts..does it mean it runs in the background if it does it should continue from the point it was stopped but not with this one...so i can that you can give yourselves a break from double pressing the HOME button twice each time to close the app..yeah there will be a clutter of apps but i guess its just to show what apps you have used...and im only gonna clear it once a day laugh.gif since as i mentioned earlier, it doesnt seem to affect the battery life or the speed of processing ...well of course if you do have OCD then by all means go ahead and close the app each time by invoking the Home button... laugh.gif oh i have an Iphone 16GB 3GS btw..

and just a little bit of disclamer Ive come to this conclusion based on my test that ive done throughout today and results may or not vary if you decide to do what i did smile.gif

iphone loads the app again because most app out there does not support multitasking yet. we'll just have to wait until the developers update them to be multitasking compatible biggrin.gif

Ditto! it just reloads the app...so technically the app isnt really "running" on the background...

erm now tat i have put the wallpaper.. how do i remove it?

you cant...just use and photo editing software resize a black colored photo to the size of Iphone's pixel 640x380 ( i might be wrong with the pixel size) and sync it back to the Iphone. then you'll have a black wall paper back

In Standby mode, the batt with iOS 4.0 lasts much LONGER....!! That much I know with my 3GS...compared to OS 3.1.3.  rclxms.gif

Other than that, it depends on what yu do with yr phone...cos no 2 persons use their phone in same way, correct?
*
yeah thats correct...usage time 1 hour 15min standby 13 hours 35 mins and my battery level is at 85% icon_idea.gif

well im not mistaken there was someone who posted about meddling with the Digi APN settings for the 3GS cause he had the same issue after upgrading to iOS4.. try searching a few pages back

or worse case do a complete restore..that should solve it for you...

by the way is it just me noticing that the majority of Iphone Owner that has issue's with iOS 4 after upgrade are the ones that J-Bed their units?

in any case...just make sure to restore your phone back to the Original state, delete all the Cydia apps before contemplating to update to iOS4 smile.gif no doubt it worked for some flawlessly where their JBED phone's was updated to v4 without issue's but it seems the one's with issue's outnumber the one's that dont...

My point is :

if J-BED = RESTORE to original version before update
non J-BED = Update away, no backup / restore needed, everything will be there once the OS completes the install. plus iTunes does backup automatically

Hi all..

Yes, finally I managed to upgrade my iPhone to the iOS4... Ive done with a lot of passion, and hoping that nothing will go wrong as Ive experienced for my Hubby's update the day before. Yes, I managed to do it within less than an hour! Phew... Everything are in order, my sms are there, emails and every single applications are in order...

The only problem is all the pictures in my iPhone is blur.. why izzit ya? Anyone got problem with it too? How do I do about it? Please help.. thanks.
*
dont worry infact some of the "early updaters" those who updated on that release night itself had issue with the pictures being blurred, what they did was to
un-sync the photo's and re-sync it back and it worked for them...

do try it and feedback see if it works for u...

I did at times notice the lag on iOS4 for incoming calls and it seems to me that when you swipe your finger across the screen, it doenst flow smoothly to the other page as it used to in Version 3.1.3,

but these are just tiny lil things, to say them being major issue's would be nitpicking of an OS that has served me so well so far, I guess i got used to them after 2 full days of usage , battery life has been great for me and that alone is enough to keep me satisfied rclxms.gif
