QUOTE(INGfusion @ Jun 26 2010, 06:28 PM) no i mean i playing game and i quit the game to menu by press home button. and the i double tap the home button again it the program closed it wont show in multi task there ? if it were there i need to hold the icon and close it as for me, home button works, unless your app is in a folder, lets say Games folder. Then you will have to double click to go home, since it will return to your Games folder instead of home screen. If you're talking about that, its annoying but its a feature of iOS4... if you're not talking about that.. .hmm I'm not sure..

QUOTE(nimrod323 @ Jun 26 2010, 06:31 PM) look buddy we are not talking about congestion in a similar connection, its basically issues with overload bandwith, because there were 500++ personal mifi devices emitting either N or G wireless signals at the same time in a packed room it has nothing to do with connection speed, This should explain the predicament better » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Steve Jobs' Wi-Fi meltdown at WWDC Apple CEO's iPhone 4 demos sabotaged by overloaded airwaves in WWDC hall as 1,100-plus attendees go online at the same time
By Galen Gruman | InfoWorld Share or Email|Print|1 comment| 93 Recommendations
Apple CEO Steve Jobs' demos of the new iPhone 4 and iOS 4.0's capabilities were brought to a halt today by the bloggers, reporters, and developer attendees all being online at the same time, swamping the available spectrum in the packed Moscone West conference hall in San Francisco. Jobs was trying to demostrate the iPhone 4's new high-density screen but could not get example Websites to load.
Jobs pleaded with the audience to turn off their Wi-Fi-equipped gear, halting his presentation of the new iPhone's capabilities until enough people did. "I've got time," he joked. Jobs asked audience members to make sure their neighbors weren't secretly using Wi-Fi. After a few minutes, Jobs was able to proceed with his demos.
[ Read InfoWorld's at-the-scene coverage of the new iPhone 4, and get all the details of the new iPhone OS 4.0, now callled iOS 4.0. ]
Before Apple's engineers figured out the cause of the problem, Jobs told the audience he didn't know what was causing the problem with the network. An audience member shouted out, "Try Verizon!" in a reference to Apple's exclusve deal with AT&T in the United States -- a network that happens to have poor 3G capacity in San Francisco. Jobs replied that he was using Wi-Fi, not 3G. That caused a snicker in the press gallery, as people joked that even Apple doesn't trust AT&T's 3G network.
An Apple engineer later told me there were 527 Wi-Fi hotspots set up in the room, most of which were MiFi devices, which connect to the Internet via 3G and set up a local Wi-Fi network so that laptops and mobile devices can access the Internet through them. More than 1,100 devices were connected to those and other local Wi-Fi networks set up by attendees, he said.
I'm happy to announce that I wasn't part of the overload problem. For my live coverage of the new iPhone, I tethered my MacBook Pro to a BlackBerry that connected to the Internet and ultimately to InfoWorld's servers over the Verizon Wireless network. It stayed up the whole time. So what you are suggesting is that the connectivity problems were not related to the antenna, but due to an overload in bandwidth? fuhh.. im done reading from page 1 since yesterday..
still I cannot find any solution for my problem...
previously my 3gs is 3.1.3 JB... after upgrade to iOS4, got issues with internet connection... thru my reading here, managed to do 3 times of fresh restore (thanks to forumer lhuihong).. and now my 3gs is able to surf with 3G or E connection BUT not with wifi..
compared with my other 3GS 3.1.2 JB, noticed that the IP add for my home wifi is not the same in those 2 iphone. in 3GS with iOS4 got wrong IP add.. tried to manually key in still no avail.. tried reset the network, also fail.. normally when we take out the simcard, we still can surf thru wifi, right.. but this 3GS with iOS4 cannot..
Any solution guys?
Thanks in advance for your helps

QUOTE(Shock @ Jun 26 2010, 09:36 PM) bro string, do you experience any signal drop as per people claimed? With the Bumper on, no. For true-nakedness experience, Beavis is the man to enquire. From what I read, the signal degradation is more of an indication quirks, phone calls are still connected and signal maintained even though the signal strength indicator drops down to 1 bar or zero bars. I was in the LRT just now, and anyone who is on Celcom 3G knows there is a section of tunnel between Ampang Park and KLCC section where, on the older iPhone 3G[S], it will drop all the way to zero. I was checking my cauliflower farm on We Rule while I was in this section of the LRT rail, and was groaned and fully prepared to see the line drops down to zero and disconnect me from We Rule, but shockingly the iPhone 4 maintained connection and I was able to visit other We Rule kingdoms in my Plus+ friends list! Bear in mind, We Rule connection requirement is the heavier kind, once you lose 3G signal, that is it, it will display "Unable to Connect" and notification popups will appear. I was connected throughout the journey, even though the signal strength bar shows one bar and sometime jumping up and down to zero. I suspect this is another case similar to the "Wifi fluctuation" on the iPad, which is more of an indication glitch than the actual signal strength. Bear in mind, I was using Bumper case all this time, so no variables like "holding it on the bottom corner" thing is disturbing the signal strength.

QUOTE(HW-Racer @ Jun 26 2010, 09:44 PM) if we buy iphone 3GS from Maxis now...do u think it will be pre-installed with iOS4 ? Less likely. The iPhones that are available at Maxis are probably old stock and hence run on iOS 3. But I'm sure you can get them to upgrade for you.
