read this part and somehow it got me a little disappointed
QUOTE One feature of iPhone 4 that Apple has been pushing hard is FaceTime, its video-calling app. The iPhone 4 has a front-facing VGA camera, which can be used to make video calls to other iPhone 4 users over a Wi-Fi network. Video calling has never really taken off in Europe, mainly because it offered such an awful user experience, but FaceTime really is dramatically different. It’s easy to use, for starters – you can start with a FaceTime call, or switch to FaceTime midway through a conversation, at the touch of a button. The iPhone 4’s top-notch screen provides a really clear picture, while its dual microphones and noise-cancelling capabilities ensure good audio that remains in sync with the video. It’s a shame the service is restricted to iPhone 4 users and that it works only on Wi-Fi, though Apple hopes that will change in time. It’s also giving away its FaceTime technology to other mobile phone makers, which could really help to increase uptake of this solid video-calling app. i dont have anyone around my circle that has or interested in owning a iP4.. so who's im gonna FaceTime with. The camera's gonna be a decoration and i am gonna stuck paying for itsos Looks like gotta review back my plan and re-think to get a 8GB 3GS instead.... Then Restored = 3G symbol is shown but no internet connection iii. Use Iphone Configuration Utility to set up APN to diginet = got internet working I haven't explored if there are any missing features yet, but so far all apps requiring internet access is working again. Got everything back..3G data, internet tethering.. Only lost old sms messages and some contacts. |

QUOTE(luxmania @ Jun 24 2010, 02:55 PM) I just upgraded my 3GS to iOS 4 and few things missing.. Hi there, after you upgrade to iOS4 did you "restore" the data, OR "setup as new phone" and then sync back the data?1. I cannot do MMS 2. My internet connection did not work I already reset the phone many times and it still there...any suggestion? I have not tried it out yet but I read someone else post in LYN (sorry, I can't find the exact post at the moment) saying if you "restore", will get the few things missing you mentioned. The poster said he/she then try to "setup as new phone" and sync, and by doing this way he/she did not get the problems. Hope this helps and please let us know if it works for you or not. |

Please stop asking how to place applications into folders. There's a link to iPhone 4 User Guide pdf (downloadable) on the first post with all the infos you need.
Read iPhone Usee Guide page 33 on "Organizing with Folders". Thank you This post has been edited by davidgary73: Jun 24 2010, 03:40 PM |

QUOTE(luxmania @ Jun 24 2010, 02:55 PM) I just upgraded my 3GS to iOS 4 and few things missing.. Please check whether you have any profile set? if yes remove it, then do a network reset, after a restart everything should back to normal. 1. I cannot do MMS 2. My internet connection did not work I already reset the phone many times and it still there...any suggestion? Also please ensure that "cellular data" is turn on in order for EDGE or 3G to work. If all the above does not help, then get the iphone profile configuration utility to setup your carrier APN and MMS settings. This post has been edited by angelheart: Jun 24 2010, 03:33 PM |
