Of course kena on la bang .... if turn off data service then how to send the MMS data? It's something like the data toggle in SBSettings, if your turn off then no data can go out or in, including MMS.

Haven't send any MMS but logically you can't send MMS without data.

Btw, though I'm not a mod and doesn't get all the hassle with all one liner, but am deeply annoyed myself with the repeating questions poised by the nubies.

Why can't they look up on the first page themself?

Bugs report:

1. I can confirm a weird thing happen as well when Maxis send a message. The word Maxis itself is separated: Ma xis. This is in line with other users that have reported it before.

2. Confirmation on fb: same as others, notification didn't go away

3. Reporting my previous bug: can't connect to unverified wifi network

4. Bing: has anyone tried it as default search engine? Mine seems super slow (perhaps because it's a mobile web version?)

5. Pandora Box can't reload/reload very slow

My 3G are below 10MB if i run with multitasking and home screen wallpaper on, and pretty slow, need to constantly kill the background program to maintain at 30MB+.
I try to kill some service later and and use sbsetting to free memory and and results 4X - 5XMB .
Obviously 3G's internal memory are not enough to handle multitasking.....

But in my case, using 3.1.3 with 3G and edge turn off using SBsetting, i still can send and receive MMS but my safari and other "data service required app" not work( its to show that data is off), now i still on i2G and cannot update because no iOS4 for 2G thats why i ask,

i do read somewhere in here saying that MMS is send VIa GSM service so basically it can works thats why i can send and receive MMS with Data in sbsetting turn off..

And @mmmbop

are you by any chance meaning that i was the one asking the same question that have been ask by others member in previous post? i believe i dont see any and i just need to check it only.

i dont have any problem with multitasking in my iphone 3g..
itry to test and run as many apps as i can and left below 10MB but still can run normally...lets say i left 8MB left and i open other app such as NBA Live, it still run smooth for me..the thing is i need to manually close the apps in multitasking bar to free up memory

and home screen wallpaper can make ur iphone 3g not being smooth..thats why i off it and back to smooth

i notice that after upgrade to IOS4 my battery drained abnormal fast.
before go to bed still have around 60% battery life. next day morning it auto shutdown due to no batt

Errr .. u using 3G or i2G?

If 3G, the edge toggle in SBSettings does not function properly. They have a new (i think not so new la) data toggle to turn off (actually not turning off) the data service by assigning a fake IP to the service. I did try with MMS send thru i2G using the MMS hack with data toggle turn on and MMS can't go thru, not until I turn off the data toggle.

But I might be wrong ....

thats odd..My I3GS completed its charge at 1am ytd...and now its 11AM my batt is capacity is at 91%

forgot to off lock the iphone? i mean never put to sleep mode maybe?

what do you mean sleep mode? screen did lock after 3 minutes inactive times.
by the way i'm not using iphone but ipod touch 3rd gen. does this matter ?

even if he did not put to sleep mode, its still drain really fast.... thats really something to worry about thou... just check if u did open something that would drain the batt. eg. Last.fm or ipod and running on the background....

last time i use 3G before downgrading to 2G, oh maybe because my sbsetting last time is old version thats why i can send MMS with Data turned OFF,

now i use 2G but i still can receive MMS with data turn off but when i need to send MMS i need to ON data servis in sbsetting to send the mms, if not then mms will not be sent,

u using iphone 3gs? if u using iphone 3gs multitasking u can view it by tapping the home button twice...
for screen wallpaper.... well just go to camera roll... pick the pics u like and then u can set to be your screen wallpaper...

if you are using i3G, u have to activate these service thru redsnow, means jailbreak

Added on June 23, 2010, 11:35 amwhen i run apps like godfinger, its super slow if the apps stay at background....but overall its still ok to me, just need to think twice before launch any app and check the multitask all the time.....

Just be patience and wait for the iPhone 4

ok i can confirm having a problem with ios4. i had a spirit jb-ed 3gs and updated to the new ios4. Everything went well however, only wifi was working, 3G wasn't. The 3g symbol was on but using Safari, Facebook, Twitter etc didn't work. i had to do a clear (and painful) restore. Everything works now. I can also confirm that restoring from ur old backup still doesn't help.

did u do a restore back to original before update to os4?

there is a Recent Removal app from cydia u can download.it will remove the task that doesnt support multitask automatically

I have a JBed 3GS on Digi.

i. Upgraded to iOS4 = got 3G & internet connection
ii. Then Restored = 3G symbol is shown but no internet connection
iii. Use Iphone Configuration Utility to set up APN to diginet = got internet working

I haven't explored if there are any missing features yet, but so far all apps requiring internet access is working again.
