so those experiencing network issues are all JBed phones is it?

i dont understand, my iphone was JBed before and i dont see any problems, no drop calls, 3g line is more stable than last time....
try reinstall iOS4 again... hope u wont have that kind of problem after reinstalling...

seems like the JB ruined the iBooks, mine can open either....

Regarding on the contact backup....

You need iTunes to help the backup...

iPhone connected PC --> Open iTunes --> click devices (your iPhone) --> Info --> enable sync contact with windows address book--> sync it...

After finish sync.....

Go to you windows, start --> all programs --> Accessories --> address book...

All the contact backup are in the address books...

to those who claimed that internet, mms, 3g or whatever isn't working... can you please state whether your iphone is jailbroken or not?

i downloaded like 10 books already.. no problem with the ibooks except your phone.. noted i didn't jailbreak..

i'm using it right now.
so far so good and work well with what i want.

Hmm,finally i got two 3Gs and 4G firmware. I downloaded 3GS firmware for restore my jb 3gs to original setting 1st then only update by 4G firmware...
but i see several got some problems after upgrade 4G...omg,,i should wait more stable ver is out?

anyone got a problem with their sms character count?

i'll aldy turn on the feature, but no display on the character count while sms-ing

The character count is not shown until you reach a designated number of characters. No point in showing the character count 100% of the time and is not needed when sending a one or two word text.

the multi task function does not spark at all you can't customize it like the JB apps "backgrounder" I wish i could choose which apps I want to run in background and which is not instead put all apps in background after pressed the home button

I having problem here.
I dont have data plan. I brought my phone from Maxis with cash no contract. Now I'm using Digi Broadband to connect to internet.
Normally I just change the APN ( Cellular Network Setting ) to 3gdgnet then I can server internet already.
But after I update my OS to iOS4. It seem that that setting had disappear.
Can anyone help me here.

Yeah, I have been wondering about that as well. The RAM levels for the 3GS has dipped to around 26MB for me. Performance doesn't seem to suffer though and things are still going smooth. The apps looked like they are multitasking which is good enough too. Probably memory usage or measurement of free memory isn't the same with iOS4? I believe their memory management could similar to Android where it will close application with the least priority while keeping services going on.

Anyone tracks RAM levels over a period of time? I guess that iPhone 4 with 512MB is gonna come handy eh?

Well I know few guys in Malaysia already using iPhone 4G even before the official launching (and it's not china iPhone). Where did they get it ... I also dunno. Kabel kuat kot.

Guys i need to check with the data service on your iOS4, anyone here can do an experiment of sending MMS via iOS4 with dataservice OFF,?

i mean we off the data service on iOS4 thn try to send MMS, it is working fine or we need to ON the data service in the setting in order to send and email.
