Here, we recommend the following:
1. Mineral EO - 1mth or 1.5k.km 2. Semi syn - 2mth or 2k km 3. Fully syn - 3mth or 3k km For running in or breaking in the engine, there's another guide. Please look for it in the forum... @jsteoh: when does it vibrate until like that?
Idling? 2-3k RPM? Are you using stock side mirror or some aftermarket one? How much vibration you feel on the handlebar? Does it vibrate enough to hurt the palm? |

QUOTE(Itsuki_Kun @ Aug 4 2010, 05:04 PM) oh ya bro alexei... Just now go ask the tayar thinggy... Dream motor accessories - they suggest me SHINKO (made in Korea) with SUPER SOFT COMPOUND mcm zhop nen nen pok... ane soft... ^^" he say good for grip and can last long till 10k km... price is 250++ F 70/90 R 90/80 mcm mana ? Forgot what name motor shop - they suggest me buy code - 1609 maxxis tayar.. the tauke say is old version but year 09 out.. and it's better than maxxis diamond.. price below 200 F 70/90 R 90/80.. how.. ? ~.~ QUOTE(Itsuki_Kun @ Aug 4 2010, 05:43 PM) Argh.. now waiting alexei bro explain the tayar for me only ar... ><" Then I will decide go which tayar le.. btw.. my % of that 2 moto shop.. SHINKO 20% Maxxis 80% since duro elek... MPS don't have tubeless 70 size... QUOTE(serigala @ Aug 4 2010, 07:44 PM) shinko which tire model? Serigala has a point, need to research based on specific tyre model. I can't find that 1609 Maxxis, did you take pic? I am no expert, and still learning to take corners properly with the MPS and I ride much slower on wet roads. Here's my opinion: (I took an hour to really make this short, hope it's ok...) 1. Soft compound is good after warm up, rubber become tacky. But, FC becomes bad coz rolling resistance. 10k km is normal mileage for sports tire used on the road. Imagine travelling 1200km a month, this will last you 8.5 months. Not very tahan leh? On wet, rubber quality (with added silica) and tread (bunga) is must have. This one, we need to see bunga to judge. Do not go for slick or semi slick on wet roads. MPS falls under soft compound. Michelin rates its reliability 6/10 and wet grip 7/10. I believe the FDR is, too. Maxxis also makes such tires, depending which series you choose. Question: What is the bunga for Shinko and Maxxis? Shinko Street tires 2. Normal road tires. Good grip for daily use, wet or dry. TT900, Duro, IRC etc are all under this category. Maxxis depends on series. I would say, on dry grip, most road tires perform on par. Some known problems: - TT900 rubber quality degrades a lot through use. Becomes harder and crack along the bunga. Wet grip not good. Tread wearout uneven as tested by myself, Charge and Cheang. - Duro. Other forumers say wet grip poor. I think it is too expensive for this quality. - IRC - so far so good. I've not tried it. Looks nice. Found a MBC post say the rubber also become hard, and slippery when wet. - Maxxis - so far so good. I've not tried it. Looks nice. Need to hear from Aaron. - Farrelli - Tubeless. Pancit boleh jalan. Tried and true. Cheap. Don't look so nice. A lot of bunga coz Penang rain a lot. Dunno whether the rubber will harden or not. Duro street tires. The last one famous coz look like Bridgestone Recommendation: Maxxis, for budget and daily use. GIVI Official shop: Jalan Masjid Negeri is Greenlane, right? I've seen it somewhere else, after Lam Wah Ee hospital on your right, GIVI is on the left... QUOTE(DevilVanc @ Aug 4 2010, 06:16 PM) zelk the visor 1 piece around 40-50rm i think.. but i think u might want to choose the semi type, coz at night u need a clear visor. the semi is the one half shade half clear. That one night time u can Long Piak mia lol For rainy season, I prefer the so-called Iridium visor. It beads the raindrop and it will slide off the visor. Here's my preference: 1. Sunny day, rainy day, clear night: Iridium visor only. 2. Rainy nights: Iridium visor, clear visor, smoke visor... because clear and smoke visor don't bead the rain, make screen blur nia. But, the worse theft I heard is the whole injection system kena curi, so ppl use it to convert LC to injection.QUOTE(Itsuki_Kun @ Aug 5 2010, 09:20 AM) QUOTE(DevilVanc @ Aug 5 2010, 09:34 AM) I agree. Some workshops have it, but many kampung style doesn't.I remember Bizzy or Aaron last time change tyre, the air pressure damn high until straight line also goyang left right. Just use the air pump, set it to desired pressure and test if it got 'ting-ting' sound. If can find digital air pump, even better, coz if overpressure, it will release also. |

Added on August 5, 2010, 2:01 pmone thing i learn today, tire also need jaga one... something like 1st km don't do hard corner, pickup or braking... let it warm up first, else will crack easily. This post has been edited by alexei: Aug 5 2010, 02:01 PM |

QUOTE(Itsuki_Kun @ Aug 6 2010, 12:48 PM) It's more like a two-digit and an alphabet combination. The two digit is max load, the bigger the number, the bigger load the tire can carry; the alphabet is max speed rating. Tell you all something about air filter. The best one is stocking material.
Custom make a cage, and then cover 1, 2 or 3 layers of stocking... perfect! |

QUOTE(Itsuki_Kun @ Aug 6 2010, 04:20 PM) Better go car accessory shop, or do some DIY.I am using a 7-up can, glue my mushroom filter. Fits perfectly to the carb inlet, but very noisy. Later I'll wrap it with foam tape to silence it. This post has been edited by alexei: Aug 6 2010, 04:22 PM |
