hello guys.

anyone, could u help me decide?

i wanted to get a new phone. its either iphone4 or a HTC HD2.

im very familiar with iphone as i used to used an iphone before. but htc hd2 caught my eyes.
ive watch the phone review on youtube but the phone seems a bit complicated. whats with the ROM and such?

im kinda confuse.

it seems as a little computer, pda and stuff..

is it hard to use? for a first time HTC user like me? if i decide to buy a htc phone lah.. is it?
*
trust me after going green i prefer the hd2 better screen is huge... n when u see apple u will never want to use it again

QUOTE(everydayppl @ Dec 24 2010, 10:53 PM)
not really. I used an iphone for 2 years and switching to the HTC HD2 was very easy. Even moving from Windows Mobile to Android on the HD2 was easy (after reading all the write-ups of course). You just probably take a few hours to get used to where everything is. You very likely moved from a different phone to the iphone previously
*
yeap.... n from that day on i cant get used to iphone back.... cos scren too small

QUOTE(antt00 @ Dec 24 2010, 11:00 PM)
Quite frankly, HD2 is a great device. But I would not recommend it to anyone now cos winmo is a dead OS. Its better to use a OS that is constantly growing such as android. Even though HD2 can run android, its better to get a device that is made for android.

So i agree with Boy96. Get a Desire HD. It is an improved HD2 that is made to run android
*
true... get desire hd and do not attempt to get hd7 unless u wanna have a problematic phone

QUOTE(mytown @ Dec 24 2010, 11:07 PM)
my HD2 died on me last night. The screen is totally not responsive to touch.
I need to send to SIS for repair.

Now.....need to remove the HSPL
Just wondering do i need to flash back to old version of radio ROM. If i do, what is the default Radio ROM that comes with malaysia HD2? I forgotten already.

Kindly assist. Thanks
*
flash via Microsd Card... forgot got name some sort of file to LEOIMG.nbh... downlaod the latest rom from htc site

QUOTE(xhuggybearx @ Dec 24 2010, 11:49 PM)
hurmm..
how bout htc desire hd2? is it okay?
the default os is windows mobile rite.. can it be upgraded to android?
and how good is android?
is it compatible with almost any thing?
*
i think its htc hd2 not desrie hd2
if its hd2 yes u can use android but i rather straight get a better or a phone that is perfect for android which is Desire HD
btw Desire HD has 8.1mp camera which is better than the current HD2 which has 5

QUOTE(KKW @ Dec 25 2010, 12:14 AM)
Not HTC desire HD2..
It's HTC HD2 and can boot up android without formating windows mobiles meaning u can dual boot..
Btw, guys.. any comment on new official rom on htc website?
*
true... but Desjre HD is still better
latest rom??? hmm phone looks diffrent... n messaging is very annoying on that rom still prefer 1.66 tho

QUOTE(xhuggybearx @ Dec 25 2010, 12:48 AM)
walawey..
boot this boot that.. like a pc to boot and stuff..  hmm.gif

well, which htc is the best? the latest and the best?
and the most easiest to use? no boot ur rom la and stuff.. huhu it makes me confuse meh..  ohmy.gif

my 2nd choice is iphone4, so if theres no phone better than the iphone4, i'll get the iphone4 by the end of next month..

there is no who is the best of the best , just go check out DHD before you get iphone4. i can assure you once you feel the DHD you wont even bother look at IP4.

HD2? i would say it kindda complicated for beginner user its only meant for hardcore user who has time and interested in customizing and rom flashing.
*
yea dhd is better than android esp with the big big screen

QUOTE(evilpuppy @ Dec 25 2010, 11:59 AM)
and downside is the battery drain pretty fast.
*
hmm desire HD batt drains faster than hd2 on winmo tho
my bro has it

no need to flah another rom.
just instal cookie home tab, cht editor and the bsb tweak to your stock rom, your r done. all are in cab file. if you dont like u can uninstall it. seem like plug n play mode hehehe. if you  rajin, get  phm registry and tweak ur hd.

flashing (hard spl ) may cause ur mainboard easily caput. the board damn expensive. and if u r not careful, ur hd2 will brick.
*
hardSPL shortens ur lifespan of ur board?

Hey guys! First time posting in Windows Mobile thread. Anyway, I'm a Blackberry user and I'm interested to have HTC HD2 as my second phone. Why I like it over an iPhone is because, it has a goddamn huge screen 4.3" and it is very nice looking phone.

Anyway, I wanna ask some questions. Hope you guys don't mind smile.gif

1) Is it possible to have simple homescreen? Because I found HTC Sense is very cluttered and complicated. And I love to have a nice wallpaper since it the device itself has a huge screen.

2) How's the battery life with the Internet connection on?

3) Can we customized our own ringtones?

4) Is it hard to upgrade to Android?

5) Lastly, why this device is so special compared to other HTC devices?

That's all. Thanks in advance!!!

1. Definatley... but without htc sense... the phone like abit urh...
2. on wifi u bye bye... batt drains fast same goes to hd7 n desire hd i used all of them before
3. duh... use mp3 cutter provided in the phone
4. nah... sd card is the easiest but i prefer nand... but battery life is suckish so might as well u straight go for desire hd
5. coz this device can port to many roms

to be honest i really like this device compared to desire hd coz of the looks... i hate desire hd design btw
but what ever you do dont go for hd7 used it before n really couldnt like it
