QUOTE(hwchua @ Aug 26 2010, 09:57 AM) Do i still need to do Task 29 if direct revert back to original SPL rom. thank you Task 29 itself does not do anything to the program. Its only purpose is to format all possible sector of your device storage so that all data left from previous flash are deleted. It is always good to use it before any flash.

QUOTE(hsienhsien @ Aug 28 2010, 12:10 AM) Would it b a big difference for t-mobile hd2 and normal hd2 based on the spec for rom 512mb to 1gb, and 576 to 448 ram? You could convert your HD2 to have 576MB RAM with certain ROM. Essentially it makes no difference to the device speed. You could now hack the T Mobile HD2 to be like a normal HD2, with a cooked ROM. If you are familiar with flashing ROM, maybe T Mobile is worth considering due to the price difference.

QUOTE(faizpsp89 @ Aug 29 2010, 09:46 PM) I feel like smashing my hd2!!!... It keeps on hanging..So laggy tooooo Seriously la this is the worst phone/OS i had ever used(mayb the OS) I really really wanna hack my phone and put android in it:) I need some helppp You are right, it is not the phone it is caused by the OS. Try another ROM but make sure you perform Task 29 first before flashing. It could also be due to one your installed programs.

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Sep 13 2010, 10:38 PM) few MB? I only have 76MB left on my phone and all softwares are installed on SD Card.. the rest are used for hotfix You need to be careful with hotfix installation. Most of the hotfixes are meant for early ROM version. Newer versions ROM do not need hotfix.

QUOTE(smang @ Sep 14 2010, 06:08 PM) If i were to reformat my HD2, which rom or hotfix should i install? I would recommend cooked ROM by Dutty or Miri. Many versions are available. No hotfix required. If you want to stick to shipped ROM, then install the latest ROM available to Malaysian set so that Warranty is not voided.

No bug at all, fast and fluid. Previously, I have at time, flashed 3 ROMs in a day. It has been so long since, I have forgotten how to flash

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Sep 16 2010, 11:28 AM) Garmin Mobile XT, Waze, Google Maps Added on September 16, 2010, 11:29 amNon of the cooked ROM amazes me, I just like the interface of the stock ROM - but after flash back to 2.06.51.07 my GPS position is still inaccurate but within 30-40 meters instead of 300 meters.. but now at my house only get Full bar EDGE, the newest radio before this got 2 bar HSPA Most of Dutty's ROMs use the stock interface. He removes unwanted apps and introduces some useful apps and configurations to make the ROM light and fast.

QUOTE(evilpuppy @ Sep 27 2010, 12:31 PM) today i've mange to flash back to official 1.66 100% which i fail at 95% lastnight. after completed flashing back to 1.66 ROM my screen now flash type 5510BCAD power reason 1 BOOT_W_PWR_KEY_PRESSED I experienced the same as you, stuck at HTC logo, when i flashed a corrupted ROM. Bootloader indicates your device is OK. Try flashing using a NEW SD Card. Best of luck

QUOTE(Slaymaster @ Oct 3 2010, 09:55 PM) one question guys. if i do a hard reset@factory default, do i have to reinstall the (official) hotfixes again? Yes, you need to install hotfixes again. Better solution is to install latest ROM therefore need not install hotfixes.

QUOTE(Slaymaster @ Oct 4 2010, 10:18 AM) thanks doc. when i bought my phone in february 2010, its already using the latest (official) rom 1.66.707.1. the hotfixes i installed are dated march-july 2010 (after the january 2010 rom upgrade). so i assumed that i require those updates. did i make the wrong assumptions? alamak! Hotfixes are meant for specific ROMs only, ie to rectify minor problem or to improve performance of those ROMs. In general if the hotfix issue date is dated after the ROM issue date, then it is good to apply the hotfix, provided the hotfix is meant for that ROM.
