B.yond PVR recorded using *.STR (extension) format and its has a copy protection.
That means you cannot simply copy that file to ur PC.

this *.STR file format, does anybody have any documents of it?

because the original playstation games uses .STR (with copy protection) whenever it plays a movie in the game. http://code.google.com/p/jpsxdec/ can encode .str files into avi or anything else. http://www.zophar.net/utilities/psxutil/psxmc.html can play str files. don't think it's the same, but i suppose it's worth a shot, no? biggrin.gif

anyways this might work. get a HDMI to DVI connector/converter, or HDMI to component cable, and get a tv capture card on your pc to capture the signal. a hassle, but it should work. i have the cables, but no Byond (mainly because I know Astro would do something like this, it's just a matter of time before they'll get creative and makes it even more difficult for you to watch your recorded movies THAT YOU PAID blink.gif )
