Hi guys,

Im using Athlon II x3 435 and unlocked to quad-core [Phenom II x4 B35]. Now OC till 3.2Ghz only.
But my target for OC around 3.5-3.6..(possible isit)
Can anyone advise me on changing the CPU-Volt,HT Multiplier,Bus speed, etc..
I tried prime95 about 10 times.. but always BSOD
Really need your help

just addup your vcore but make sure it less than 1.5v

how about HT Multiplier? Bus Speed?

sure can go more than that. My Athlon II X3 425 is at 3.7ghz. haven't tested stability but play games all fine.

don't need to meddle with multiplier just yet. just change the bus speed and vcore.

uhmm. can recommend me to change speed bus &vcore to ??

maybe you can try this:

core speed: 240 x 14.5 = 3480MHz
cpu NB speed: 240 x 8 = 1920MHz
HT link speed: 240 x 8 = 1920MHz
DRAM speed: 240 x 2.67 = 640MHz (i assume you are using the RAM in your signature = 2GB DDR3 1333)

but i m not sure about the vcore needed.

ermm.. need to know the vcore 1st. then i can try. 1.5v isit?

hmm.. really not sure about the voltage.
i think 1.5v is a bit high for amd cpu, maybe you can start with 1.45v.

in this article, the cpu is overclock to 260 x 14.5 = 3770MHz, with vcore = 1.440v.

one more thing...some review said valueRam also cant reach higher freq for the proc...

you need your NB at 2209 minimum for it to stabalize that speed.

rule of thumb is cpu speed x2 / 3.15 = minimum NB speed

is this applicable for let say AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE 3.4ghz?

3400 x 2 / 3.15 = 2159MHz

but AMD Phenom II X4 965 stock NB speed is 2000MHz only right?

yea i normally with amd i put them near stock 2k so i dont have to pump too much voltage on NB .

but i dont learn much just trying luck wif amd rig .

anyway, mind to elaborate y does it has to be CPU speed * 2 / 3.15 ?

and i have a question, is the NB speed and HT link is the same thing ?

and i notice in asus m4a785td-m evo bios, there's a chipset voltage, what is this voltage for ?

Hmm.. tried but cant push till 3.77Ghz.. unstable. = =

Bus speed 235.5Mhz
HT Link 1884.2Mhz
DRAM frequency 785Mhz
CPU vcore 1.430v

but not stess it yet.. think stable ar?
lazy la to test lar.. cuz after several hour scare suddenly BSOD..

why cpu overclock so little?
i think stock vcore should be able to let the cpu run at 3.14GHz.
and are you sure you want to clock your DDR3 1333 ram to 785MHz?

but then again, value ram running 785 means 1570 ? what's d clock on the ram dude ?

yaa kinda 15xx. but failed,unstable. now oc to 3.2Ghz only.

u oc 3.41 and ur ram is running 1.5k ? ur using 533 strap is it ?
lower it down to 400 strap and see if it helps .
its no problem to run the ram at lower than the rated bandwidth, but if u want it to run fast, then try to lower the latency instead of pushing more speed on ur ram

and what is your cpu NB speed?
