I am also a cosplayer so I can answer this also. Not all events are the same, usually they have air conditioning but it really depends on the event. Example, Comic Fiesta(the one in December) is the biggest Anime Convention in Malaysia and it is by a group of experienced organizers so the place is 100% will have aircond and it's guarantee got some class. But, there are other events in Malaysia which are college or school events which may not have air conditioning at all. I know 2 events that did not have air conditioning and was really really small so, like I say, it really depends on the event. Most events in Malaysia were small and did not actually have their own halls unlike Comic Fiesta, usually they are in complexes and near their stage or they do have halls but are in a private area and is organize by the college's Anime club. I would say in my opinion, the better events I have went which is not by big organizers(like CF) is Animangaki(hosted by Sunway University's Anime Club) and TAF(hosted by Taylor College's Anime Club). And yes, those I mentioned do have air conditioning but the events are not confirmed or announce whether they are having it this year or not. The nearest event in this time around is in May around 20 sumtin May and is at Tropicana City mall, this event will have airconditioning but it will be near a stage(most probably) and is in a complexe(shopping mall) and should be quite small.

Of course, you can know alot friend over there, and yes theres air conditioner but I dont think the crowd there can make you feel better or cool. = =

But, some events no airconditoning ler, I know GACC last year first day the hall was damn small, alot of ppl went out, so basically you can say there was no airconditioning. But usually yes. Oh yeah, I think when he meant cool, he meant the air conditioning is cool or not xD.

Some ******* stole the medals at parkson... Also saw the remains of a belt buckle, lesson here is while parkson might be cheap, do test everything to ensure package is correct
