I myself use the Russian SPG line.

No best SPG per se. Each have their own strength and weaknesses. I can't comment on French SPGs, having not played them yet.

For early tier SPG: (Tier II to Tier IV)
T-57 - Fairly mobile, good ROF, weak shells
SU-18 - Nothing special about this.
Bison - Has a huge gun for its tier.

M37 - Again, good ROF, still weak shells.
SU-26 - Best SPG of its tier, only one with a turret so no need to deal with aim dispersion everytime you move your hull. Pinpoint accuracy too.
StrmPz II - Meh. I guess the only redeeming point is that it leads to the excellent Grille later on.
Wespe - More mobile than StrmPz, able to load AP shells for lulz.

M7 Priest - Pretty good ROF, excellent range. Marred by poor damage per shell.
Grille - Big gun for its tier, only one able to damage HTs reliably.
SU-5 - The dud of the Russian SPG line. Meh range, limited ammo. Only saving grace is that it has pinpoint accuracy.

The SPGs become pretty similar from Tier V onwards, though they still retain their unique characteristics. (All are able to damage high tier tanks, all have similar damage output and range are equalised for most part.) It's in the lower tiers where they are most drastically different.

Unlike most MMO game, WoT clan creating need gold, which only can be purchased with money. Hence no LYN clan for WoT.

few days ago i was very unlucky with my VK4502. 1st shot from enemy damaged my gun, so I quickly repair it using repkit. manatau 2nd shot from another enemy damaged my gun again 

a damaged gun accuracy is very horrible. some shot goes out of the firing ring 

maybe they tried to shoot periscope?

every turret got its own commander's hatch. its a viewing port for commander so he can see whats happens outside the tank. when you hit the commanders hatch, you will damage the tank, and possibly injuring the commander, which will make the tank less effective in combat.

seriously i rage wen malaysia ppl chating bhs rempit inside game. even the official malaysia WOT sea forum making me mad! 

-5th when using >Tier 5 arty and there's more than 3 arty in each team, its critical to counter-battery. or at least if not counter-battery, learn to shoot n scoot. means relocate after each shot. to counter-battery, patient & observant is a MUST. its not easy to see those tiny tracers, but trust me - its worth it 

i have my fair share when its come to counter-battery. mostly i managed to hit them 1st. sometime i get counter'd.
