should be 12 trials coz you are using package 8+4 batt pack...

i only build 1 new car for that speed race, but understand the setting before race, so i can change the setting according to the layout with more easily ...

planning for the race are important.. so you won't get mess at race... but, some time it will come out of control... rclxub.gif

nice discussion, hope to see more discuss like this.... nod.gif
*
same as me..1 90% new car for each race been build...only rollers + bearings + certain frp are old. nod.gif

hmm.gif wow, your car looks cool.  ohmy.gif Your rear bearings are 8mm or 9mm ?
*
9mm bearing, plus 520 in the middle to ensure smoothness..
i juz weighed this car..damn heavy lah..99g + cover. my tires n 2 HGs make it heavy...if can got 80-85g should be nice.
if too light, might lost some traction .. icon_rolleyes.gif

i use n-04 and t-04 coz its stronger and lower the chassis 2mm without much cutting needed. though u need to glue the bearing holder in place. the car final weight should be around 89~90 grams . not too heavy  not too light..
*
yeah...i notice that there is some glue at the bearing holder in ur pic.
plus cover, sponge tires (to make total width 8mm for each rims) ...so ur car can get around 85g..nice. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(davidccs888 @ Aug 11 2010, 03:03 PM)
guys....im really confused about usage of cleaner spray...i thought it was for lubricant....but after i use....d bearing (mine is 13mm) become little bit rough when spinning (about 1 second)....when i touched it forward n backwsard,i can feel d roughness...but not smoothness....

so wat's d solution?
*
which cleaner spray? ELKAY or TAMIYA one?
as that thing is CLEANER..so it used for cleaning..unless it was stated at the bottle as LUBRICANT. cool2.gif

ok like this, get a small container/bottle. put your rusty/dirty bearings in it. then spray some cleaner. close the container, then shake2.
u'll see some dirt comes away and cleaner become darker.

take out, let it dries on the tissue.

if your 13mm bearing still rough, maybe the nuts inside dh rosak. buy a new one. TQ

tamiya one....ic....thanks for d info... smile.gif

any lubricant can be used in bearing actually...?since i saw d notice in TU stating dat NO OIL SPRAY ALLOWED...which means grease and oil are prohibited?? rclxub.gif
*
normally we just clean up the rollers+bearings n let it dust-free..so it can spin smoothly .bcoz tamiya RC cleaner and elkay is not oil based, so it is allowed at TU for rempit n during race. some type of cleaners are oil based, so it can caused track+other cars dirty n collectiing dust. dat kind of cleaners are BANNED. icon_rolleyes.gif

HiHi, the front part of my vs chassis setting is something likes yours but different in bearings la. (you can refer to the photo I posted above)
It just CRACKED like that...haixx.
Is yours okay after winning the 2nd place?
*
yeah..i noticed your VS setup juz like mine in previous race. but u need to test at track 1st bcoz that aloy frp might hit the track when cornering, rather than your rollers.
maybe u can bring fwd that roller n use 2nd hole, not the 1st hole...
advice only icon_rolleyes.gif

my car?? RIP already (rest in peace). i juz keep the chassis. i'm prefer using MS

i agree wit that bro...VS got advantage at time attack...they r not 4 endurance like previous race, where MS can win. smile.gif
so, r u setup VS or MS? blink.gif
