Nowadays I check Steam for promotions on daily basis (http://www.steamgamesales.com/) Most of the people have a decent and good internet access and one of the benefits of purchasing the game from these vendors are you can always redownload your game when its corrupted or you accidentally delete it. Imagine how much will it cost to buy ahem games nowadays. The DVD are easily damaged due to bad storage and not to mention the lifespan of the ahem DVD is ranging from 2-3 years from my experience since most of my PC games started to look like rusting on the upper side. The best day to checkout for promotions is during public holidays.

Unfortunately, there is no running promotion on The Sims 3: Generations. The game is still new & it's hard to see EA giving discount on new game.

Haha, there was an EA week/Sims 3 promotion back in Steam but I don't think there is any promotion for the new title. =(

Keep me informed if there's any, I want a hard copy especially!
