QUOTE(Skylar_lee @ Nov 29 2010, 12:01 AM) o really? how about he tricked winklevoss brother before he meet sean parker?......anyway even though the movie doesn't show mark being greedy and not even care about company profit, but who end up being youngest billionaire in the world? it's mark. this movie are smartly being narrated. it's gives motivation to some people but to me it show how greed can make people nasty and vicious how people character are, without them realizing it. It's a good movie and very inspiring for people who wish to backstab others.... brilliant screenplay. great work from fincher & aaron sorkin. its the (my) best movie of the year. (yes, even tops nolan's inception. (mainly for the smart screenplay)its not an accurate account, both fincher & aaron had already said its not a docu, many portions were fictionalise & probably played up/dramatise. Even mark (the real one) said its 30% or less acurate. well, none of them can comment or directly comment after the actual settlement (reality). nontheless, skylar u may find this amusing (alert; quotes from the movie below) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Patricia Rooney Mara » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « is (dorky) beautiful,.. potrays a smart gal (who got agitated by mark), like many pretty gal.. Cant wait for finchers "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" with Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander. This post has been edited by koolspyda: Dec 1 2010, 04:43 PM |

QUOTE(Skylar_lee @ Dec 1 2010, 10:21 PM) Still, the fact is mark tricked the winklevoss and narendra do happen in real life. He can claim is less accurate and what so ever but in reality can swindle people admit themselves swindler while they running big business such as facebook? so far he don't even bother to take legal action if the movie is not accurate and have potential to scratch his reputation. i don't ever bother to comment if his crime just only bad mouth his girlfriend in internet. let's just say for arguement sake you can say they (tyler & cameron winklevoss) may have an idea of a harvardU "student network" (HarvardConnection.com), but remember there was already MySpace & other social networks sites. they (winklevoss brothers) maybe only/were thinking only harvard vis-a-vis other students academia to know of the 'harvard' student profile.. Zuckerberg, "could" have taken that seed, himself had a bigger expandable idea that wasn't narrow & well you know... mark could be a d*** & we have FB now well, maybe someone can FB message tyler & cameron & ask http://www.facebook.com/twinklevoss http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tyler-Winkle...106048462760552 http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cameron-Wink...105656729467883 if they reply at least they (Real Winklevoss Twins) defends the David Finchers "Social Network" movie as accurate as can be QUOTE http://www.facebook.com/MannyT<wbr>heMovieGuyCameron and Tyler Winklevoss are out promoting "The Social Network" and they still feel that they've been duped by Mark Zuckerberg. I spoke with them this morning about the movie and so many other interesting topics: What do they think about how they were portrayed on-screen? What about the accuracy of the movie? What about the actors who played them in the movie, Armie Hammer and Josh Pence? Were they approached by David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin prior to making the film? Of all the real-life folks from the film, why were they the only ones who are coming out to help promote "Social Network?"Do they honestly think that Zuckerberg stole the idea of Facebook from them?Do they use Facebook? HAVE FUN! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugI_gRR6rB8 see the clip of the real twins. they are identical twins & did row in the beijing olympics. So how accurate is the story, was it 'rojaked'/dramatise or only little facts (movie producers say movie is only a "story"). i think many will enjoy the movie, dont need overly done CGI, or beefy clad men, guns, explosions & hot girls...no wait the asian american girl(s) in the film were Aaron Sorkin told New York magazine, "I don’t want my fidelity to be to the truth; I want it to be to storytelling," adding, "What is the big deal about accuracy purely for accuracy’s sake, and can we not have the true be the enemy of the good?" QUOTE(41LY45 @ Dec 6 2010, 06:12 AM) Yep!! maybe "not best of friends" but still all are F*ing billionaires Not exactly, no longer friends i heard. BTW, have look at this: http://wallstcheatsheet.com/breaking-news/...al-network.html Not everything true, and the "victimization" of Eduardo was only done to add flavour to the movie. like many we all grew up not really contacting or still going out with "colllege/scholl mates", we might just be loosely "in contact". eduardo is still part of "facebook" & as an investor, he is still very much in the loop. the "10-most-glaring-lies" link wont be look upon seriously as the producers has publically stated its stand on that issue. if indeed if winklevoss had it their 'version'/way, i will say there wont be anything like FB or birth of facebook. call it an accidental idea or whatever, FB blew into many people's life because "we are generally 'obsesed' with lifes of people (we know), & the simplicity of the interface" damn FB |

QUOTE(h-yee @ Dec 10 2010, 02:22 AM) not surprising when many go over Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, maybe too Ken Watanabe over geeks » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « the dialogue in this movie trumps over inception & whatever that emerge in theaters this year and thats makes this a movie to be remembered. yes, granted; inception the movie gaves lots of ppl the goosebumps over the action, the layers of dream, the state of limbo but strip all that i can only think of 1 oscar nomination for them in effects. its still a cool movie, i know. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « people hate facebook because it ruins our daily schedules » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « the earlier qoutes i posted & lots more This post has been edited by koolspyda: Dec 10 2010, 08:13 AM |

QUOTE(h-yee @ Dec 10 2010, 02:23 PM) I like the dialogues too. Especially when Mark was being an s-hole. a quick search over the net will get u the movie quotes. of course, the whip-smart dialogues are best viewed with the scenes. But I don't quite remember how the dialogues are? Mark: If they had the ability of creating facebook, they'd own it already. Mark: I'm stuck here with you people while I should be in the office working with the people who're doing things none of you are intellectually capable of doing. *Something like that. but u (h-yee) reviewed 'social network' movie, bland.. |

QUOTE(Vintage @ Dec 12 2010, 11:31 PM) Has anyone tried to analyze this movie yet? After a few days of thinking, I think this movie is about the validity of information in today's generation. As six degrees of separation is becoming a very integral part of our society due to the Internet, information and news are spread between people easily but the truth often does not come together with the information. As an example *SPOILERS WARNING*, on the surface its a simple movie & most importantly fun to watch. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I might be wrong but this is what I'd gathered from the movie. Any other analysis? fincher's pacing & back & forth timscale of the drama made it look easy & not confusing. granted he held back on his 'imagery' style but i too loved the boat race (oxford vs harvard & the parallel of harvards (boat) team lost is canvased on winklevoss brothers not taking action earlier) i reckon that some people may feel intimidated by the (sometimes fast pace) dialogue hence their reluctance to watch it. we can look back & recount how & why mark under shaun's 'spell' ambushed eduardo stake in th co. there are also many parallel i, myself can look back how its comparable to the people, friends i meet, worked with, got screwed with in business. 'that's life' as some may account it. another fincher's movie thats in my best movie list. |
