japs??
no worries, I know how to handle em
; D
*
hahaha, just to manage your expectation, there are no ladies player on their side:)

anyway, before anything about handling your opponent, i think LYN need to handle themselves first in terms of TEAM work.....but this comes with match experience, no worries, u guys already played few friendlies, and i am sure you may have already found a partner that you can work together on court with. There are several learnings that I can suggest (just my two sen opinion, i may not be correct so dont F me ya)

what i observed during your friendlies with DKTT:

1) that each of you are doing your own thing on court without your partner knowing whats next, that is why some of the partnership broke down half way.

2) There is no communication between the partnership, that is why even with a strong lead, opponent are able to chase your down.

3) Body language is also important not only to psycho your opponent, its important for your partner to build confidence in case you guys are down or incase they make mistakes they wont feel so bad if both is psyching each other up.

4) there must be one team leader to bring you guys together, to arrange partnership, to lead who will play first and not i meet you here, they meet them here, i dunno where is he and i dunno who play first....because early team preparation is good for building focus and plans when you reach the court, without it, you will rush into the court and by the time u warm up, the game is over.

5) it may feel weird doing it at first when you guys do not have enough players, but cheering for your team is a good motivator for them, but what i see is some of you are away to pee la, to drink la, to dunno where you went la, while your team are struggling under the hot sun to make names for LYN.

I can see some of the partnership applied some of the above, it is the first step to any competitive fun session, so once you guys are ready and can do the above, then i think you guys will have even more fun times playing together:)

its just my two sen observation, no harm intended, and honestly, u guys did great yesterday:)

oic... can u change ur coaching time to maybe sat evening? then sun morning come play with us?

Added on June 21, 2010, 12:07 pm

thanks alot for ur encouragement........

anyway, i also juz realized tht i hav another flaw: bad time management shakehead.gif

on top of vobs that i have voted, i would like to vote for kelvynlym or blackrose 2 be leader, since they both are always on time, unlike me...... im 'malaysian time'.............. i do realized punctuality is important so i dont think im fit enough...

and to all those who waited for me last sat.... sorry  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
i regreted for being late and i will belanja 100+ this coming sunday morning in sunway. serious  nod.gif
*
Im out of the picture please.....

So new nomination and also I will nominate INV as i think he is quite responsible in making sure newbies are at ease then they first visit sunway tennis court:

1) Carto
2) KelvynLim
3) Blackrose
4) INV

Who else, we shall end this nomination by Friday evening, then saturday u all can discuss at the court, then sunday night confirm k....carto to coordinate:)

Carto no need to be scared, I from East Malaysia, and you have my support heheheeh.
Being a leader doesn't mean being a know-it-all, right now the most important thing is people that have 'elected' have your vote of confidence and your respect, things will work hand in hand, I rather have a leader that tries to improve himself by listening to others , open to positive criticism's, that a leader that 'pretends to know it, but cannot do it'....
You are welcome to ask for any advice, from experience players, and the general forum.

Have fun! thumbup.gif

thx for the vote of confidence vobs but those under my lead sure suffer wan, under-performing players or those who i know can play better sure get the brunt of my wrath. ask any of my bball kaki.. all oso kena before and still kena-ing from me every weekend for not playing up to expectations..

so i rather not be lead when our friendship is still so new, esp when i have yet to gain your trust..
*
hahaha, ah well, i see you're the serious type so might be a good leader lor:) no worries, let the lyn member vote, if u kena than u have to lead no matter what:) if not then we can nominate you next year hehehe:)

haha...walao...i'm jus back to miri..i have oly a can of aussie open..haha...sorry ba...old balls throw liao in kl... :3
*
Bro, wake up la, in this world nothing is without sacrifice...... if u want to win, invest abitla, always say not enough this, no money to have this, no that no this, sell those many racquets of yours, just keep one then go buy training balls and basket, ask someone good in miri to drill you with those balls......if u want, i have contact of some coaches there to guide you but of course if budget permits la:)

But, if budget is really a matter, let me give you some free advice, you only need 2 things to win, consistency is what you need first, once you develop this, it will take you into a few rounds in a tournament. get your consistency right by drilling some rallies with a good sparring partner who is willing to play with you.

Once you master consistency then pm me, i will give you the 2nd thing u need, this one will take you deep into tournament level.

Hello bro, u can look for ray fung, he may be able to help u if budget permits

when ure consistent during stroke, ur game play consistency will follow, take one step at a time bro, dont run when ure learning to walk.

BTW, im selling a k pro open racquet:) rm270, condition good with strings and cover, its used:)

Tennis Warehouse wrote: Light and maneuverable, the KPro Open is well suited to players who like to generate a lot of racquet head speed.

We found an excellent response from this racquet on faster swings - such as big groundstrokes and serves.

The KPro Open offers a softer feeling response compared to other racquets in its class.

From all areas of the court we found improved comfort compared to the nPro Open.

Well suited to the modern game, players with extreme grips will love the lightning fast mobility and spin friendly response of this racquet.

We found plenty of room left for the player to supply power without over-hitting, even when swinging aggressively. At net our TW playtesters continued to find a mobile response with a crisp and clean feel at contact.

As from the baseline, our testers found good directional control on volleys. All in all, this is an appealing racquet for aggressive players who can exploit its spin potential and mobility.

hey vobs, i thought u prefer the wilson b4 this?

suddenly change to head?
*
Well, i was using head radical intelligent oversize before that, always have been with head racquets:) since im a fan of fed, thought of trying Wilson out, but after experiencing the quality inconsistency of wilson racquets, I kinda like "ah well, lets go back to head".

thats why lor, but as some will say, nothing is permanent la, so lets see what head can do for me:)

Tada!!!! refurbished, new 17g strings @ 55lbs, new replacement grip, new overgrip, YAN! time to be the ultimate wall and this time the wall will hit back:)

user posted image

abit of review hehe, tried with 16g synthetic babolat at 53lbs and some unknown grips.....

basically a racquet for swing happy player where it provides control, need to be more aggressive as it does not give as much power as those oversize or thick beam stick. really need to be precise on this as off centre hit will make the ball fly in different directions or a weak return. though feels heavy holding it but the swingweight is quite light:)

sOkong! sweet spot for microgel mp a lil bit smaller than youtek's. but all in all must still hit center if going for ppooowaah and control

nice overgrip/replacement grip by the way.

still with wilson i see?
*
hahah, still a fed fan:) no choice, want to try how blx grip feels hehehhe

The Head Grip is made different from wilson.....Wilson is rounder whereas head is more toward rectangularish type.
