Hi bro, can you recommend me which are the media player (Full HD) I should buy if I need the player which can :
(1) Play all kind of video format with audio
(2) support all kind of internal (embedded) & external subtitle
(3) Can play large size files
(4) No internal storage are needed, no wifi & no online function needed
(5) English remote control if possible

Currently using AVF media player for RM/RMVB and 1st Generation WDTV for others files but not satisfy with WDTV, it can't play all the MKV and some MKV file with Video but no Audio....
Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.Pls let me know the price as well.TQ

Hi TS, interested to get HiMedia HD900A from you.Need to check something from you 1st.
When HD900A play 4:3 video files on 16:9 TV, can the video play in full screen (screen fit) ? or it still show in 4:3 format which is 2 black bar on left & right of the 16:9 TV ? I'm having this problem on WDTV when playing 4:3 files on 16:9 TV.
1 more question, if I buy from you now what is the firmware ? latest one or you guys can update for me upon purchase ? thanks smile.gif

I believe everyone do have this 4:3 format files even DVDrip or TVrip are in 4:3 format.Only Blu-ray rip & HDTVrip are in 16:9 format.

no idea yet as most of my video is Full HD which come with 16:9 only...
hence as believe even Hong Kong drama also with 16:9 nowadays...
perhaps u can request seller to do testing at his site instead as believe he got sufficient video resources around digital mall...

anyway, satisfy the build quality of the media player, compact enough to fit into my limited cabinet space... Acceptable overall design with front LED blue light... remote control look good design, come with some hard plastic button, doesn't look cheap made (almost same design with my TV remote control), the battery cover also hooked with the remote control to prevent the loss, also come with 2 transmitting "LED" bulb (better transmit signalling) with covered red transparent... unlike those china made remote control with rubbery buttons and only with single & exposed transmitting "LED" bulb... able auto detect the audio output settings via HDMI between LPCM (2.0) and RAW (5.1/7.1) for each video file (some video files may don't have audio output if limited under 1 audio settings, example used RAW settings only for 2.0 channel video files...

disadvantages is it doesn't come with HDMI cable and batteries for remote control... tongue.gif
but it wasn't big issues as i got my own aftermarket HDMI cable and spare batteries... smile.gif

about video quality, no comments yet as i tried with few video files only yesterday night as busy to transfer my video files into my hard disk for testing purpose... smile.gif
