hi, is there any place to safely repair a milestone?

my set, about one year old, recently broke down in that the middle third of the phone vertically, stopped registering touch input. as u can imagine, this has made it very difficult to use most apps, while making it impossible to use others (mostly games).. if not for the hardware keyboard, the phone would be totally useless..

i want to know if this has happened to any of you guys here? this problem has been reported somewhat in US forums.

ah, well, ive pretty much confirmed it.. going back to stock rom, and doing a complete wipe.. also i used a screen testing utility that clearly indicated the lack of input in the mid section.. where do i go about ordering a digitizer, and.. yawn.gif how much does it cost!?
