anyone tried to charge using in car charger?
i just try with normal in car charger + moto cable, and its not charging.
do need to buy ori motorola in car charger?
*
Charger rosak? I bought a cheapo 3rd party charger before and it didn't work, probably damaged already, cheapo mar laugh.gif

Been against the thought of using cheapo chargers ever since, good but pricey ones have better quality and probably more stable voltage output.

When plugged in, bring down the notification bar and select the usb connection. Change it to memory card access to read sd card, before unplugging change it back to charge only just in case.

Europe will get froyo end of this year, as for asian countries, it will be early next year.

Yea that sucks!!!

I've been testing Swiftkey keyboard for a few weeks, some say u can type faster than Swype, but I don't agree. I find Swype is faster, downside is the extremely huge file size and it consumes significantly more battery than other keyboards.

its big because it has so many languages that we never use. there is a way to remove all of them leaving only english but i dont bother to do it tongue.gif

i never tried swiftkey or other swipe-style keyboard, so far i found swype is good enough for me.
*
I find the US english & UK english options redundant tongue.gif

Can remove other languages? Link please

anyone has similar issue? when i bought my ms, i thought there was something wrong with it cause it wont rotate from portrait to landscape without sliding out the keyboard. but it will rotate if i open any software. just the homescreen wont. bu after a day it can. but nw back to the same problem. the setting is set to automatic rotates.
*
I have that problem, happens most when I use Market. So annoying that I've turned off auto rotate.

edit: happens in LauncherPro home screen too

I think this will be my first and last Motorola phone, thanks to their slow 2.2 update for our region. Next phone might be Windows phone 7 tongue.gif

Well, guess it must be my Itchy hand, really hoping to see Flash on my mobile devices... biggrin.gif

Its quite stable, while running 1ghz since it can underclock up to 250mhz if the processor idle.

Im going to try the GPS function, but still looking for the X5 "ahem" version to install.

Anyone know where can I download the motonav map?
*
ok I was bored so I decided to try it too. Problem is I can't receive any signal, it's like my phone radio is turned off. Did u have any problems with this? Also I can't mount sdcard on my pc. Gonna explore more tmr

Mine one is fine, no random reboot what so ever...

the signal using digi was good, just I have not test the data line, since using pure wifi only for data.

Im using the latest build 0.0.2  and androidiani open recovery

Androidiani:

Cyanogen 0.0.2-10.10.02 (better than 0.0.2) around 80 mb
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I tried the latest builds of OR & Cyanogen too. But it just wouldn't detect any network, no signal at all sweat.gif

I tried it with 2.34.3, didn't work. Reflashed to 2.36 also still can't get signal.

hey, how u do that? what apps u install to c the paid market or did u flash to another rom to c it?

I concur this finding. Don't have to install/do anything, just disable Market Access or Market Enabler if u are using them biggrin.gif

I received an OTA update too a few days ago, that time I was still at 2.34.3 sbf. But then I ignored the update and reflashed to 2.36. No updates after that

you using which ROM? any cons?
GOT is faster & better than Cronos or cm6?
*
oh hiii katana, u have a Milestone too? biggrin.gif

GOT should be faster than Cronos/CM6 mod since GOT's sbf is the actual Froyo with the newer kernel.

Haven't got the time to test this yet, I can't wait to try it when I have the time!

yea battery drained pretty quickly with this Froyo. With the Battery usage apk not displaying properly I have no idea wats eating up the batt. And it feels abit laggy compare to 2.1.

QUOTE(junkieG @ Oct 28 2010, 01:49 PM)
agreed regarding the battery drain faster then the official 2.1

i just downclock it back to 550Mhz from 900Mhz on the fly

Regarding laggyness, I just overclock it back to 900 when I need it eg. browsing flv content.

Another thing that I believe it may caused due to microsd card. im using class4 8gb....

time to upgrade microsd maybe? nod.gif

I tried the CM6 Milestone mod(build 0.03-10.10.21b, latest build is 0.03-10.10.27 which I haven't try yet), and I can say that it is soooooo much faster than the GOT Froyo.

Sticking with CM6 for now, love the amount of additional stuff in it. Running at stock speed biggrin.gif
