Is the ribbon problem caused by opening the keyboard a lot?

Ironically I bought the MS for the keyboard but end up seldom using it now, although very handy at times.

New Razr priced about what I paid for Milestone :-(

However, I am quite attached to mine, used to its quirks and limitations, can live without the fastest and latest.  I don't see enough pizzazz in the new models and I'm too cheapskate to to rush and dump out two grand. I'd pay even more if they built in a few more features: image projection, dual SIM, wimax or similar, 3D, flip option, xenon flash, after-shot refocusing, NFC, etc. so many technologies already available. I can wait a while longer.

What do you think, what's on your wish list?

Well my first wish is my milestone works back like they used to hehe...
Second, I hope there's another android qwerty phone with solid looking body and attractively better like this Milestone.
The new Razr dun have the same Ummph like the old RAZR.
Some users clain MILESTONE 2 also have the same prob like M1. sad.gif

After I post about my unresponsive phone, the phone is back in business but tonite its doing it again. But the only problem rite now the back button is unresponsive and sometimes its like theres lots of finger is touching the phone rclxub.gif

Rite now, I installed Buttonsaviour to replace the back button. Until I change the touch screen.

long time didn't visit this thread. smile.gif
i'm using CM7 2.3.5 flashed on Aug or Sept and haven't updated since then. the phone is running great with OC to 1GHz and with typical usage the battery can last for one day plus. but the greatest part is the phone never restart anymore. i only restart my phone if it start to feel laggy, and thats normally means weeks or month.

doesn't really think about changing phone coz not much different from what i'm using now except for more RAM and bigger display.

haha, i bought also because of the keyboard, but now very seldom use it. i guess Gingerbread keyboard is almost as good as physical keyboard.

on horizontol mode, on screen keypad, i cant touch back button

so i think it is not software problem but rather d screen itself..

MS gsm signal is much better than droid 2 global by 2-3 bar!

MS still ok for 2D games and some simple 3D games, but newer Games kinda hard for it already.

And it's not the RAM is slow, it's the RAM is small..

To solve all these, root your phone and flash a custom ROM. If the device heating up is a problem, I recommend Cronos Ginger.

I had this problem before. What I did to solve it was turn the device off and pull the battery out. Then wipe the screen with nail polish remover from Elianto and dry it. Turn the device back on again. This solved the problem for a while.

When it came back again, I went to change my screen protector. Problem solved for me.

Means yours is not related to mine.
I did ask a technician, he said charging IC chip has issues. Changing it cost RM160 or so.
Because mine is ONLY when its charging, or when got air-con air blowing onto the screen.

2 separate issues. Try it, stand under air-con and try dragging stuff around on the screen. lol, let me know what u experience.

Looks like mine is all okay when charging and even when under air-con. At one point, my Milestone had the same issue as yours though. But not just during charging.

root it and flash Cronos or CM7 ROM. i personally using CM7 ROM and manage to use it more than 30 days without any reboot.

official 2.2 is very laggy and many bugs. it also sucks the battery very fast. recommend to change it.
