sifus~ want to ask, hdmi-dvi = hdmi-hdmi in terms of quality? or almost the same?
i have a dvi lcd with no build in speaker, so if i get myself a hdmi-dvi cable, i cannot get sound. if i use my composite cable to tap for the av audio, it will block the hdmi output.
One sifu told me that the only way is mod the av by opening the casing. besides this any other options? help!

If not, no point to buy the HDMI-DVI cable. Don't worry about audio, you can use the AV connector to channel your sound (red/white cable).

And vv001, seems like opening the casing is your only option if you are not planning to get another cable/adapter for audio. I used to use a third party cable which doesn't block the HDMI socket for audio.

It's a third party VGA cable, bought it from play-asia many years ago, work like charm. It's out of stock now though, and I've no idea where I put mine. http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-de-77-...16s8-43-bn.html

too bad they still retain the same port placements in Xbox Slim..
TS u can use VGA AV out cable, there's minimal differences between analog and digital signal for Xbox 360, so just use VGA for video..
