Westerners are much more sensitive to personal choice of food. They have koshers, vegetarian, etc. For US products, you can look for "U" (No Animal Substance), "D" (Dairy only), or "K" (Kosher). Even airlines nowadays, when you book your ticket online, one of the options for foods are "Muslim foods".
And there are fast food branches that are halal in US (there is a halal KFC branch in Chicago), UK, Australia (halal Subway branch), Singapore (even got halal cert), and lots of other countries. Muslims migrate alot and they are everywhere in this world.
Remember, not just Muslims have restriction. Others also have, like cannot eat meat, cows, living things, eggs, etc. Even that don't prevent anybody from travelling, right?
Beside zabihah.com, you can also try finding Muslims restaurants or mosques (go to the mosque and ask) at http://www.islamicfinder.com
At the worst, you can choose to be vegetarian for awhile when travelling. Islam doesn't make it hard on yourself.
