I just shifted few weeks ago and I've checked with TM people about unifi coverage at my area, they said still not covered.

After few weeks, 2 people from TM came saying that they've already fix the fiber optic cables and can register already. So I registered near end of March and in the paper it stated that installation day 10th April.

11th April still not getting any calls from them, I left him a message asking how long more should I wait. He apologized and will check with installer bla bla.

Then I decided to call TM and check on my status of application, they said my name is not even registered in the list.

Thats why its important to apply from an agent who knows his job and have a good track record in delivering 

you should have posted your jalan name + area here coz theres ALOT of agents lurking in here n they'll b more then happy to check it out for u... plus i'm 1 of em lol

The heck with unifi, my house number is 37 and the coverage only till 34, then they never update or anything.

Someone call me and said my house will not has unifi coverage, offer me to upgrade 4Mbps instead.

Agreed and later on when I contact their product department, they tell me that my area doesn't support 4Mbps.

What the f*** is this shit?

TM will only lose money if there are other HSBB competitors to take up the slack and lock in customers.
Right now if there is no Unifi service you just have to wait for Unifi.

So, next to no impact for TM really with regards to hsbb services.

TM shouldn't have been allowed to operate both wholesale and retail hsbb.
It's uncompetitive and restricts competition that would have resulted in cheaper and faster rollout of services.

Isn't Ipoh Garden presently covered already?

The other places in Ipoh which they pulled direct fibre cable presently is to the Mentri Besar's Residence, Istana Kinta, Kedai Telekom in Ipoh central and Pasir Puteh Telephone exchange.

I think there's a huge demand along the Pasir Puteh Road stretch from nearby upcoming hotels, AEON Station 18 Mall, electronic street and housing communities.



We are RIGHT in the middle of all the suburbs in Ipoh South of Pusat Bandar sandwich between Menglembu and Gunong Rapat.
To the South East of Pasir Puteh is the supposed Cyber City now abandoned and all focus is now shifted to Meru Raya in the North West.

The reason why they are avoiding Ipoh Central is because of the huge investments involved replacing all the copper cables in the ground, the big mess of sunken doodles that have been there probably for ages.It's going to cost as much as how they wired up KL.
All those old colonial buildings and ancient cables. They are called brown field areas.

Have you seen MSAN large cabinets(FTTC) lined up in total of 3 to 4 in a row(labelled Vxxxx) under one stretch just side by side metres apart? You can find them in Greentown and on Jalan Pasir Putih Main Road.

That'll tell you the demand of Steamyx services in those areas.

This is in reference to your previous claims that Tasek Exchange has the one of the highest Streamyx subscribers in Malaysia for Perak.

The truth is Ipoh Central exchange serves almost twice as many subscribers in terms of capacity. It was one of the first exchange in Malaysia to have Streamyx DSL last time earlier than Tasek with the abundance of copper available so it was natural to start early.

It has 2X the amount of number assignments/allocations:

I noticed a few booths were set up during Labour Day during my morning session breakfast at Ipoh Garden South near IGB Plaza with promoters. At least 2 were set up around that area. They were like catching flies all the time.

All those listed Ipoh Gardens area only. You got cover Pasir Putih and Pengkalan Station 18 area. Pity those doing well restaurants in Station 18 shopping centre they only got max 4mbps WiFi only but no choice that's the highest they can get. Got like hundred business premise dying to get fibre internet here but no one cares.
Hong Kong Kim Gary, Old Town Coffee, Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Sakae Sushi all need fibre but no other choices.

But you go to De Garden there almost empty all times, got Unifi covered. 

My house under renovation, and want to do conceal wiring for the unifi cable, i just need someone to pull the cable ready for me, my wireman will conceal it. or he want to do all also can.. i need it quite urgent.

my house has no pole outside cos new phase, but i see the green unifi hub outside each row of house.

got any contractor? i tried calling a few numbers given by TM, but the respond very slow..like not bothered.

I am in Majidee Park, and the unifi white box out side my house was fixed 6 MONTHS ago and when I went to TM point in taman sentosa, they say that my area still doesn't have the coverage. My taman is at the center of taman abad, taman melodies, taman kebun teh. All this taman have coveage, why the hell my taman doesn't have??? 3 of my class mates who are just staying 2 streets away in kebun teh and melodies has unifi, why the f* can't they just finish the f*ing job that they started???
