Hi i need some help i got a budget of RM30,000 for my home theater any suggestion?

Samsung series 8 55" 3D LED TV = RM20,000
Yamaha RX-Z7 7.1-Channel AVR = RM9,500

I would do a budget. Maybe something like this.

TV set. Budget 8k.
AVR. Budget 6k.
Subwoofer. Budget 7k.
Speakers. Budget 7k.
Blueray player. Budget 1k - 2k.

ps: 30k is more than enough to have a small decent ht set.

Denon 4310 AVR from SG - RM6k

SVS SB-12NSD - RM3k

if don want the prj + screen....just use the 10k to get a 55" TV
oh...can add a BD player for just RM480

I think a basic Sound System good for listening to music itself would be minimum RM10k but then since its a Home Theater System, I guess RM30k can get nab yourself something nice...

best you include more details such as:
- Living Room size?
- How extensive?
- etc

For people a home theater system is the Screen, AVR, Speakers, BD player... for me, a home theater system are as follows:
- Screen (LED TV or Projector Screens or both!)
- AVR, Speakers & Sub (neatly and properly setup)
- BD Player (or PS3!)
- HTPC or Media Player (or both)
- A really Universal Remote Control
- A nice Home Theater Cabinet Unit
- A nice comfy seat or sofa
- A nice Coffee Table to match
- Controlled Lighting Environment (not just those on/off switch but something with a dimmer.. I feel that watching movie in the dark can tire the eyes, there should be a little ambient light)
- Air Con..
- Astro BYond (maybe?)
- and lastly... budget left to buy tonnes of Blu Rays!
