First, whether you have data charge or not depends on whether you turn on AGPS giving a faster locktime of less than 10secs but it incur only a small amount of data cost. Without turning on AGPS, locking time might probably be within 5 to 10 mins.

The map on Garmin is a lot better. Garmin map is up-to-date as compared to OVI Maps which isn't as up-to-date as OVI Maps. Both can work without AGPS.

From what I heard, garmin laggy. Ovi maps is better for navigation?

You want to get a Nokia C5-03?

It would be really dumb to move from a higher end S60v5 device to a lower end S60v5 device tongue.gif
I m kinda interested in it...cause I believe the price will be competitive

*
Yeah...I think the keypad would be comfy for them, and the screen won't be too small either

I tot you might want to buy it for your family members.

Anyway, How long would it take for GPS signal in Nokia C5 to lock at the position?
*
Based on your location and the weather.

If i am in cameron highlands the GPS signal would take longer?

I dunno. But in my area, without AGPS, sometimes lock time might take from 5minutes to about 15mins

I see.

How long you can use the GPS software on your Nokia C5?
*
I am a X6 user...I took my GPS from my home to Ipoh, about 33km away, battery dropped 2/7 lines after a few minutes cool down time during which I also sent texts to people.. icon_rolleyes.gif

I see. For me, i use my N95 as a primary phone and nokia 5800 as a secondary phone. I was quite interested with the second hand c5 as the price is quite attractive.
*
C5 can't replace N95... N95 so many great features from the past... C5 only has GPS.

N95 i definitely won't sell. 5MP Carl Zeiss lens camera is the most important. Just too bad i have too many sim cards and not so many phones.

+1. Get a 1280.
