anyway, nothing can be better than free.
maybe becos multiplayer gameplay is free on PS3 that makes us think this is expensive. personally, i don't think it is expensive if 1. the free game offer is quality title (not some daft mini every month) 2. the free game offer is additive (meaning I can still play last months free game) and this month's new free game as long as i am subscribed 3. guaranteed beta access to top games Since Sony has region locked the stores for credit card, i am getting concern that someday, it'll be IP locked as well. with the local store not getting updated as frequently and getting Japanese versions (even when English is available), we all should wait and see where this goes. |

the netflix, video rental, Vidzone sort of stuff already IP locked
I see no point in this PS+, good thing is they retain the multiplayer for free for the time being, we just continue to share PSN download slots |

QUOTE(geekster129 @ Jun 16 2010, 06:11 PM) No Munyau.A PS+ user will be able to contact free PSN users with cross game chat, and up to 4 people a group chat. Example: I am a PS+ user. I can contact you and cross game chat with you, as well as add another 2 free PSN users to the chat party. So its not really a "no point" feature. However, cross-game chat should be free to everyone and that I think that it not being free is one of Sony's biggest mistakes this year. QUOTE(jedi_dc @ Jun 16 2010, 06:56 PM) What does FULL game trial mean? means u can unlock the game to play full ? Full game trial means you'll be able to download FULL games off the PSN store for free before you buy it.Anyway, if this provides awesome mini-games , i'd subscribe. just for trophies. LOL. You get to play the full game for free for 1 hour entirely, you even will unlock trophies. After the 1 hour, the game will be locked and if you will need to buy the game off retail. Trophies that you have unlocked within that 1 hour however will remain unlock when you buy the full game though, so no need to go earn them again. Sony is aiming for every release game in the future, but I'm skeptical about it however. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jun 16 2010, 07:46 PM) No Munyau. Oh, really? So, in other words, the PSN+ user have to initiate a "chat session" first, then the rest of the users can chat?A PS+ user will be able to contact free PSN users with cross game chat, and up to 4 people a group chat. I thought PSN announcement at this year's E3 would have some integration outside PS3 or something. This post has been edited by geekster129: Jun 16 2010, 07:58 PM |

Yes exactly.
Too bad Sony didn't bring their cross-game chat to the showfloor yesterday though. Didn't have a chance to test it out. |

QUOTE(geekster129 @ Jun 16 2010, 08:07 PM) Ben, have you tried out Move? How does it hold? Does it feel good on the hand? Yea I played a little bit of Move yesterday.Read a few thread just now. You are in LA now? Very accurate in most games, really is 1:1 motion. Although in some games which will be patched to support the Move, it is a little problematic. Especially Tiger Woods PGA 11, the staff needed to keep re-calibrating the Move for the golf club to swing properly. Took me a good 5 minutes before I could actually swing at the ball. But once I did... well its very fluid, not much apparent lag at all so its all good. The problem is probably with the game itself and not the controller though, as the re-calibrating issue didn't really happen in other Move specific games. |

RM15 per month doesn't seem very expensive to me.
Downside is most likely we don't have much/enough content compared to US. For early access for demo and free avatars and theme. Should be ok if thats your thing. Added on June 16, 2010, 8:40 pmOh, I also thought I heard from the briefing yesterday that everyone will get 3 months free access to PSN plus when it launch?
