Thanks! She did wear makeup but not the thick ICI kind lar. I don't like to smoothen the face too much. I know that making it smooth like baby's bottom is the norm but some imperfections reflects reality much more closely, I feel.

for the 2nd pic i'd prefer shooting with a fill flash la or a bounce. but the model's hand a bit distracting.

I suspect that Canon EF, having electronic aperture control, may pose a bit more of a problem adapting - you won't be able to stop down.

Alternatively if you can't wait you could DIY something like this:



Mechaherc: Click on any camera, then click Color Response - the red channel in particular is different between the D3s and D3x (more like the Sony color response.) The Canon 5DMkII's red channel picks up too much green.

shootkk: You can duplicate a layer, smoothen, and then pull back the opacity - this gives a far more realistic look. I like #2 by the way though not tilted.

As for the second pic, the lighting is intentional. Side lighted from model's left and high. I agree about the hands.

Albert, no Canon EF adapter oso I don't really care. Hehehe. I absolutely love the 24mm f2.8. I actually bought the cam just for that. All I wanted was a small, light, fast n wide pocket cam with big mama Aps-c sensor. It's been my dream for the longest time.
