yo , just getting a x8 for my gal , wanted to ask it;s can be root and any custom rom ?

why done before mind share experience ?

one question here . check on xda about rooting guide , so i just install the "SuperOneClick.zip"

anyone try rooting like that ?

and after root then can direct install custom rom right ?

sry not real understand the step , since different with htc .. mind teach 1by1 ?

ok , now as i got is , superoneclick.zip

i extract and click superoneclick > root .

it keep stuck on a "waiting device "

but my x8 is already plug in usb and with usb debug .

do i need install any like usb sync ?

the files then make x8 connected to phone , because when i wanted root , the superoneclick cant foudn my phone

huh ? how come i loacate on sd ? my sd was new card .. not real understand ....

ya finally found pc companion on google and few question more here ..

now i already click superoneclick > root > and i say done . (but i dont see superuser on my phone )

sec , before i wanted flash custom rom , i need install xrecovery right ? problem is i already install the zip. files , but how to i install it ?

if i on htc i am using power + vol down to go clockwise mode , then can flash zip file from SD so how x8 to do that ?

where should i paste the chargemon , busybox and xrecovery ?

use astro files manage right ?

Already copy three file to system /bin, I close phone and turn on keep pressing back button also can't de

op.. just install busybox , and install busybox1.18.4 to system/xbin & system/bin .

then do copy xrecovry.tar , chargemon , busybox again to system/bin .

same result too , nothing having keep pressing BACK button when turning on phone .

any idea ?

[1] root
[2] install busybox
[3] install astro > install root explorer
[4] extract xrecovery zip in pc > get 3 files(chargemon , xrecovery.tar , busybox)
[5]copy to sd
[6] use root explorer to copy 3 files to system/bin

** when tick on permission on xrecovery.tar , when i open again permission all tick is gone . it's like that ? **

it keep stuck on SE logo 1min > blank > SE logo > blank ...

repeat 10min more but still stuck on SE logo ..

ok now i try gingerfroyo u recommend , done recover then do fullwipe & wipe cache , when reboot

it show SE logo then HACKDROID logo , just keep repeat and repeat ..

WTF !! with my phone !

it keep reboot and reboot and reboot and reboot .

T.T cant go in phone window . just keep reboot and reboot only ..
