Hi. I'm new here.

Just flashed to 2.2.1 (the one with 710Mhz OC)but didn't get any performance boost. Kindda disappointed.

Here's the step I took. I started with 2.1
1. Rooted the phone with super1click
2. Partition the SD and install app2sd (use the phone for a while and decided to flash in the end so proceed to step 3).
3. Installed xRecovery. Made backup.
4. Installed the ROM from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=964223

Run Quadrant Standard to benchmark and still get roughly same results when I was in 2.1(453 points)

1. Root = Get superuser access from the phone. Some applications need superuser rights in order to function.
2. Reboot = restart the phone.
3. Older models are with 1.6 but can be upgraded to 2.1 with Sony Updater Service.
4. Should have an extra back cover I think. Not sure if its the same since yours is 1.6
5. Emm this one I can't answer couze it should be there. It'll be there if you update to 2.1.

I don't really know for sure.

To confirm you can check your phone model it should be E15a i think while the latest one is E15i.
