hi all,
is there any recommended computer shop in Johor bahru where they can provide honest n reasonable services and repair?
My pc been hit by lightning and i suspect the Power switch button on the motherboard spoiled bcz when i press on the button power, nothing happen.
Power supply still working fine, RAM, graphic card and other peripheral still OK.

Any suggestion from Johor-ian? tongue.gif

Well, most IT stores from Landmark Mall already shifted to Danga CityMall due to poor sales and bad management. Visited Landmark a few days back and it's kinda empty. Also went to Danga. Most shops in JB sell accessories (mouse/black dvds/ speakers) anyway.

Managed to get a few updated price lists,. Some of the parts are able to match Lowyat in terms of pricing, but most have been marked up. And they don't usually hold stock( have to order). I guess they really don't have a choice.

As for repairs and servicing, Landmark still has a reasonable number of shops who solely deal with repairs so try your luck there.

Still looking for a decent IT shop here.. If not I'll have to build my rig in KL.

Well, unless very luckily that your purchase work fine.... otherwise building in local still the better choice smile.gif

Price in danga city mall still expenses (at least RM 20-30 higher than what you can get in Landmark!! for the same accessories!)
So Landmark still the better choice to me smile.gif

Is it just me, or is it really hard to find a good custom pc shop in JB?
I mean I have been to Danga City Mall, and the place looks technically deserted except for a few shops.

I am looking for stuff like Cooler Master casings, higher tier i7 processors, Asus mobo...but seems really hard to get them here. Am I better off buying these from Sim Lim or Funan?

PC Ho.... it is difficult. JB has smart developer in building town... but this state has very low standard in computing world.......

I am looking for extremely high end latest router and I feel like may end up buying from Lelong.com

I do found Dell S2415H IPS Monitor but the glossy screen is over glossy of my liking.

At the end after some test, I pick up BenQ EW2440ZH LCD and I no regret getting it, it had better respond time, deep black and still nice color output.

I find AMVA+ panel is in balance in between TN and IPS. smile.gif
