phew. its been quite a while. congratulation on the v6~

i think for the benefit of the others, we should list what the things being change during service intervals, the cost, as well as the place we do our services. this will greatly help the ones coming to the milage. so that they can expect what to be replace and roughly what the cost.

i did my major 45,000km service last week at the lee motor sg petani which cost me 740RM (after those discounts) the things got replaced are the aircond filter or something, the fuel filter of which situated right under the handbrake, the usuals like oil/air filters, auto oil, engine oil etc etc. but the most pricey is the fuel filter which cost me like 300RM plus minus (sorry, veli lazy to go search the receipt~ ) a big chunk of the price went to labor charges of which we know already to be at 60RM per hour. the whole process took about 3 hours.

then my left, rear absorber kaput. leaked. since its under warranty then they submitted a report to HM and this friday they gonna change it for FOC. everything labor and part. so bear in mind about changing anything physically to ur NHC. or if u insist doing some modification, just make sure u understand those TnC in case of something happen to me.

i did my major at 45,k because at 40k i was very busy with researches at my workplace/many invitations that i dont have the time to send the car and wait for hours. of course u can leave the car and then go somewhere else that after finish service they call u but i believe being there and observe they work so that i can ask and learn many things. however i did engine oil/oil filter change at 40k in order that my engine doesnt kaput.

as for white NHC, today on the way coming to the university i saw on PLUS one white thailand plated NHC. S spec. really nice i see. i would say it worth the wait for those who can wait for HM coming out with white. and also the other day i went KL also on PLUS i see wilayah plated white NHC. WUC something. also nice.

for NHC aged 1 year and some 4 months (received 11/5/09 after 5 months wait) the FC kinda stable at full tank going 350-400km at mixed highway and federal roads. for highway my best FC recorded was at RM32 worth of fuel going 255km.

its a good car to be honest.

Would you complain if a p1 or p2 do not have remote trunk release? The 90k you paid most of them go to malaysia boleh goverment. If you minus them up, the price is almost the same as you paid for a national car. What you pay is what you get does not apply for cars in malaysia. smile.gif

wajas/ personas these days got leather seats man. many people these days which prefers 'value' rather than cost, will opt for the personas/ wajas. and the definition of 'value', of course is self preference. for instance, the reason i bought a city is because it got paddle shifters, in which NONE of sub 90k car makers didnt offer back in december 2008.

Hey guys here, may i know how much is ur 20k service???? I went to service my car yesterday, its around RM500..how come its so exp..its killing me..feeling a sense of regret for choosing city..LOL
*
do not regret it.

somehow u need to check whats been replaced and whether it involved big milage oil change like ATF. however, the atf is only 25-30rm perlitre of which the city use 3 litres or 4 maximum. forgot edi.

if they replace things not supposely be changed, then u need to report this matter to HM. ATF should be change at 40k km.

500 is over charged for 20k km service interval. its not the cars fault. its the service centre.

say anyone. i got a friend who got smack from behind his right side bumper. his rear lamp also broken. wondering how much the cost to repair back. it's the 09'"model.

so, how much:

rear lamp
bumper
ketuk
cat
labour

the total cost would be?

really appreciate your feedback.
tq.
*
i dont think cost is his thing to think about. he smacked from behind isnt it so the one smack him should do the thinking on the repair cost. but u can ask for a quotation from any service centre. they will ask their technician to take a look at those kemek and all, then they will print out the cost estimation.

i was a victim myself a few months ago when a lady get out of a junction and hit my car at the back. right hand side. there was a kemek going upward, right in the middle of the right back wheel arch. there were kemek everywhere, including the right hand side back bumper. luckily the reverse sensor modules were all right. i went to Formula venture butterworth to get it repaired. i was worried about the outside shop quality of work as well as i didnt quite sure about reverse sensor modules at that time. like i said luckily the modules were all right.

then the chap working there take a look at my car and print price quotation or something. but they didnt have in house painting, ketuk, etc etc service. instead they sent my car to out panel shop just a few post box away.

anyway, the car needed ketok, and of course repaint. the whole back bumper they said can still be use so it need to be repaint and straightened. a new one would cost 450RM. the estimation given was ketok, paint cost 380. labor was quoted at 300. in total it was 680. the lady's husband paid for it because they dun wanna settle it right away.

so that how roughly the way for u to get it done. i suggest u go to honda rather outside shops as it may involve electronic stuffs. if outside shops get it wrong there goes ur warranty. and one more thing, u can ask for cost estimation from them. that will give a very clear idea about the financial thingy~

Added on November 12, 2010, 4:50 amjacks123,

i believe it shot up to near 500 because of 3 things:

- balancing etc etc 62.00rm
-engine oil semi synthetic
- car wash

and if i may, the ATF.

in the manual it says ATF is recommended to be changed at 40k if iam not mistaken. whats in the world balancing, rotation, and allignment to cost over 50? its crazy.

car wash is 13. lucky i am at penang. under 10bucks all place charge.i use just normal mineral oil which cost something like 50-60rm? that explains how it got over 400RM in the first place.

but please, 62 for balancing/allignment/rotation? pehliiiizzzzzz~

I dont understand why ppl keep complaining about the waiting time at honda sc? Yes the labour is expensive as hell but how long do u expect ur car to b ready?

If u doing major service of course its gonna take whole day. If normal service it would take around 2 hours on weekday. On weekends of course longer waiting time lah.

So far i sent my car for service all no problem just that the labour is blardy expensive.

Obtw my car has clocked 80000 km already
*
nais
i am not that too far
currently coming to 60k km
whats the service la for 80k?
the same like 40k km?

so after 80k km,
is it still the same car
u fell in love with?

u know
some people
new car they love more
then it goes high mileage
the love become less
how about u?

still standing? biggrin.gif

guys.. just ask for discussion.

If, there are 2 options.  Either

mod the car with a set of turbo kit and bigger disc brake with cost 10k++
or
sell the car (let say 75k) and buy the new Hyundai Avante?

smile.gif

saw a few in thailand doing bot
they do that based on the previous version jazz
dunno about the performance
but L15A is design for optimum economic
so if u kinda get much power
it will come at such big mooolah
justification over the spending
u must do and calculate how

not saying the city is slow
but excitement in driving isnt all about fast speed
is it?

Anyone here planning to do a group purchase for a set of E spec rims? I need to change one of my rims because I accidently hit a rock yesterday, so we can split the cost.
*
no need the group purchase
if u feel like buyin only one
in my place got one shop selling one by one
i mean no all 4 pieces purchase

if the group purchase is to keep the price down
i would say its quite hard
because nobody gonna buy only ONE piece
unless they wanna have the reserve tire in the boot
exactly like the ones rolling under the car

Basically City only hv 3 Generation Model in M'sia.

- 1G and 2G is the same model...juz facelift < Consider as 1G>
- 3G and 4G also same model...facelift also < Consider as 2G>
- 5G is current latest model. <Consider as 3G>
*
yeah
the notion '3g' or '5g' depends whether wanna count one sell outside malaysia or not
if count the whole city line up, yes we are the 5th gen
but if count only the model selling here, we are the 3rd

the whole city line up means including those selling in japan in the 80s

i cant find one image of the very first gen because i am in the middle of something, but it was a small thing and although i saw one or two here in malaysia, it is very rare here. they used to put in crazy engines in that pocket size car (even smaller than mayat version) notworthy.gif
