your car is white, not only rear bumper dirty... everywhere also gets dirty fast... my friend complains about it all the time wink.gif
*
To be honest, dirt is fine. Provided the white colour has a proper wax/sealant or those paint protective coating, dirt can easily come off just by spraying some water smile.gif

But for black like my car, I just wanna say ^$*$%&%##&$#&%$*^%*^% to Honda. I can't take the soft paint at all. The scratches and swirlmarks are insane, its killing me. Every time I look closely at my car, some new scratch has appeared. Makes me wanna cry. Its only 6 months cry.gif

Hate today's vehicles for their super cheap paint sad.gif

Bit by bit la. Didn't do everything in one go of course. Started off with the Qmax 3+1 photo conducted cables. Then I wanted some torque and high rev efficiency, so went for the GD Turbo.

Then only all the Hot Inazma stuff came in. With the Spark Earth wires etc. Its actually Hot Inazma Hyper, so it did cost me a bomb tongue.gif

In terms of performance, the GD Turbo is pure raw performance. Seriously, you can feel the torque boost and the efficiency of your throttle. I got the Hot Inazma for pure voltage stabilizing. Of course the throttle feels lighter too.

FC is seriously up to your right foot control. Doesn't work for me as I have a very heavy right foot. Maybe a little better, but I personally didn't feel the difference. Probably because of the extra torque making my right foot naughty tongue.gif

There's less noise in the engine compartment. And if you'd already upgraded your air filter, you'll very much enjoy the sound of your engine. Very tempted to modify into Open Pod system for more ganas engine soung hehe laugh.gif

I spent more than 1.5k but seriously no regrets. What I'm looking at is on the long run. All these items are plug and play stuff and can easily be transferred to my next car. I can see myself using these same items for quite long.

PS: Pivot VS sucks. Total waste of money. People buy it because its cheap. I just don't understand why do they buy something which doesn't provide any difference at all. I'm so glad I threw mine away haha...

Have you changed your air filter yet? Changing your air filter to those K&N or some other aftermarket air filters helps.

You could also try some grounding cables which allows better efficiency in the combustion chamber. I use to experience what you're saying. It definitely improved alot after my modifications. But it still happens if your engine is cold.

totally agree with u about pivot product.... maybe nowadays too many imitation goods. some of the seller even sell the fake 1 and claim it was the original... how much do u get the GD turbo???i saw few place sell RM950 and where??? i am so interested..hahaha
*
To be honest right, I've actually tried both imitation Pivot and original Pivot. It is the same feel. Maybe not for other cars, but on our NHC it is the same. I can be very certain the original Pivot is authentic because my friend ordered it directly from Pivot website and paid quite a hefty sum for it. He already sold it for a Hot InaZma Pulse blink.gif

Btw, if you're really interested in the GD Turbo, drop me a PM. I got mine for a very good deal and I think you can talk to the boss to ask for a good price also. Definitely lower than RM950 wan inclusive of installation hehe. Just mention my name biggrin.gif

Just my 2 cents, do you have the 3+1 Photo-Conducted cable already? I find that more important than the VS. You should install the cable first before going for the VS. That way when you get your VS, you'll feel the huge improvement brows.gif

QUOTE(JasonKing @ Mar 28 2011, 11:54 AM)
nicely done grounding bro.... feel like posting a picture of my engine bay smile.gif

Thanks bro. Do post please. Share with us all. I'm trying to look for ideas to arrange the wires better if can biggrin.gif

QUOTE(moon* @ Mar 28 2011, 11:56 AM)
nice 1. i have the same. but red color n only 1 cable laugh.gif
*
Thanks man. The reason I chose blue was because my GD cables are blue already. But I've seen some nice contrast in red wires too biggrin.gif

PS: Now have to save up to get TEIN springs. Super high maintenance la my wife sad.gif cry.gif

hey guys, i already receive the letter regarding recalling for honda city year 2009 and 2010..., i wonder how long does it took to do that things..
*
Just treat it like a normal servicing for your car. When they recalled mine, just nice I was about to go service my 20k. So ngam ngam la. Actually I super sokong the recalling hehe. I mean if you know there's something wrong with your car, you've gotta fix it. Plus, its something like a free servicing rclxms.gif

Not like Toyota. The Dugong shares the exact same chasis with the Yaris which was proven to be having some big problem overseas. But like no news here only blink.gif

QUOTE(moon* @ Mar 28 2011, 03:05 PM)
i get ur pain sweat.gif

but i gotta think twice again in dumping a fortune for the ride sweat.gif learn it the hard vicious way when i dump in so much on my previous car, n i end up had to sell. only could take back out my hot inazma sweat.gif sweat kau kau betul laugh.gif
*
Hehe me too. Was driving a kancil previously and poured in a fortune. All went jahanam after selling off rclxub.gif
Thats why now I only mod stuff which are plug and play. Maybe some throttle controller or a drive by wire piggyback. So next time all can bring to the new car or sell them separately icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(mcliong1 @ Mar 28 2011, 08:35 PM)
haha... i would like to but not my finance not really easy.. but if got surely will get the GD cables 1st. What other mod have u done??? rims and tyre??bodykits??
*
The GD cables are a good start. Good grounding cables are much much more important than all the expensive VS. Lets just put it this way; grounding cables are useful without VS but VS are useless without grounding cables.

Haven't done rims and tyre yet. That one I'm saving up. Am planning to get the Lenso SM03. Then change together with tyres la. Something like 205/40/17 maybe. Maybe change with brake pad also. I want larger brake pad just because it looks nicer. Nothing to do with performance wan tongue.gif

But those gonna cost a bomb la. So slowly la. Maybe after warranty kapoot ady then only change. Plus I don't mind our stock 16" rims. They are Enkei afterall. Good stuff. But tyres are crap yawn.gif

I do have the full Modulo bodykit tho. I sell bodykit myself. Its not right to not install right? Haha...
How bout yourself? Any mods so far?

3-1 cables means you'll be getting 3 grounding cables and 1 alternator cable. The more cables you have is obviously the better for your car.

I'm not so good in explaining about electrical components of our vehicles but I'll try la. More of an accessory person tongue.gif

So take for instance that the electricity from your battery is a car and the battery is situated in Shah Alam. The electricity wants to go to SS2 which is probably the combustion chamber. Basically your original car allows one road to connect from this Shah Alam to SS2. And that road may be used by other cars to get to somewhere else as well. And this may cause a traffic jam.

But with grounding cables, you are opening more options like NKVE, Federal Highway etc. So there are many other options for the electricity to get to the combustion chamber. That way more efficient electricity is able to reach the electronic components of your vehicle and improve the performance la. Hahaha (noob explanation) laugh.gif

Meanwhile for VS, its an extra battery. With the grounding cables (negative terminal) all coming back to your battery, its like a highway with 6 lanes suddenly become 2 lanes. Confirm traffic jam also. So the VS helps provide a support to the battery to accept the electricity back and boost the lifespan of it.

PS: Bro Asyraff, I'll PM you on the details of the items you're interested in. But I'll appreciate that we do not conduct our business here. Its rather off-topic. Please look for me in my thread thumbup.gif

Guys guys! If anything please liaise with me on my thread or PM me. Wouldn't wanna corrupt the thread with my personal business although I obviously appreciate the support biggrin.gif

PS: Anybody used some fully synthetic oil before during service? Any improvements?

QUOTE(asyraff @ Mar 29 2011, 10:47 AM)
Thanks a lot bro for clarifying..crystal clear on that might change to 3-1 soon soon but as for now started with grounding cables then will go for GD Turbo to boost some torque..definitely bro pm me the details..
*
No la bro. Since you already have the 2-1 cables, you should leave them there and not change. Instead, if you want an upgrade on the cables, you should try out the Hot InaZma 3 layers HGS-series Hot Earth grounding system. I've seen a Vios before in Kaitenaz Racing with God knows how many cables. Crazy lol...

Ok, I stand corrected then. But the concept is the same. Electric currents can't choose the best path because the best path has already been set by installing grounding wires accordingly to the car and ensuring there is a proper connection between the battery and the components.

That's why you need pros to assemble the grounding wires to your car. The connections are very important to ensure the best path for all the electric currents to all the components of the vehicle. Grounding cables provide a direct path from the battery to the component itself instead of having to go through many points before reaching the destination.

Thanks for correcting my explanation then. A finance personnel like me is a total idiot when it comes to physics tongue.gif

ok thanx for ur guides, will look thru on that.
jz change the rims but using 205/40/17 now, feeling want to change to 205/45/17 cos 40 really so bumpy.  my friends all go with 45series and it is better i think. yup, the rims are enkei but goodyear tyre...hahaha crap....
nhtg much i done, jz security tint, change drop in air filter, GD standard VS. and few 2 UR bars....
*
If it feels bumpy then there's an option. You can try to not pump too much air into your tyres. But you have to constantly monitor the air to make sure it doesn't drop too much. I would love to get the 45 one as well but my workshop guys have already calculated the height of my car. With just an addition of more or less 200kg, the tyre will touch the side ceiling of the car. Thats going to be very bad on the long run if you constantly fetch people in your car. If you drive alone most of the time, then shouldn't be a problem lor rclxms.gif

Any idea on current market price range for K&N air filter?here in North side ranging RM300-RM330..is it too pricey?

Sharing my new tyres and rims feel much more lighter and improved fuel consumption smile.gif[attachmentid=2126172]
*
K&N only cost maximum RM255 here inclusive of installation brows.gif
I'm sure you can get even cheaper than the price I said with those bulk orders going around in lowyat if I'm not wrong.

Blardy hell. Dunno which Fker tried to open my trunk to curi my laptop. The key slot is spoilt. How much to fix it eyh?
*
You can fix it by installing the boot trunk release. Which means like Earl-ku said, you'll need a new number plate to cover up the trunk with the key hole. Then your trunk can only be open from the inside or with your car keys. Your car keys will have a 3rd button to press and release the trunk smile.gif

Sorry to hear about the stolen laptop though. But take it as an important lesson to not leave your laptop in your car no matter what sad.gif

err for the KNN drop in filter, what installation u need? to install the KNN sticker? LOL

Not everybody knows about cars like you do. Some people don't even know where the air-filter is situated at or how to get the pins opened doh.gif
So it is a good service to learn more.

bro do u experience got some shock like electric when u try to open the crome door? after i install the grounding cable,
always being shocked like a bit positive current on my hand.....

and do u guys got the problem is when u accerelate/ pickup the car got some sound coming from the air con side? claiming normal from honda service center but few my fren didnt have this problem...
*
I've never experience any shock when opening my door. But it is normal to get static shocks. I've been shock by many things in my office, stairs railings, door knobs etc. But if the shock you are experiencing is high, then you should send you car to check. Is there any loud zap when you get the static shock? If yes, then it is very high shock ady hmm.gif

QUOTE(SheepMekk @ Mar 31 2011, 04:53 AM)
Does it consume more petrol?

Also, what are the drawbacks?
There must be some right if not it may be too good to be true  laugh.gif
*
Its not too good to be true. You're paying RM200++ to increase some torgue. Not to mention you'll have to maintain the filter regularly.
It is not proven to increase or decrease fuel consumption but do expect your petrol to finish faster. It is only natural effect when you get more power, you tend to press your accelerator more sweat.gif

No, he didnt manage to open the trunk (maybe he is a noob) so my laptop is safe.

If i fix the trunk release, do i need to change my key? Zzzzz.
*
No, you don't have to change your key. They just modify some devices in that black cover on your key only (the one with 2 buttons to lock and unlock car one). Then they plug some sensor on your trunk. Make sure all plug and play stuff. Don't go for those that requires any hole drilling etc. My friend changed all these including the full number plate to cover the original key hole. Damage was around RM200++ rclxms.gif

PM me if you need more help on this. I can recommend the shop who did it for my friend to you smile.gif

oh... ok then. do u know how many PSI should be better??? currently i put 36 in front and 35 on the back...

Added on March 31, 2011, 1:49 pm

hi, how much is the S1 Evo??? izit good? i want to change my bad bad quality of FalkeX 552 to other?? any recommend??
*
Try putting 35 in front first and see how it feels. Same with your back tyres. All this is trial and error. All up to your personal preference on bumpyness and harder shock when go into potholes. Let me put it this way. The more air in your tyre, the more bumpy when you drive. The less air in your tyre, the more harder the bump when you go on potholes and bumps. Try not to differ too much from your optimum tyre pressure. Maximum 1PSI higher or lower. 1PSI lower is alot already actually. Better to measure in kPa as the denomination is lower and there's more room to play with.

Check out the tyre thread for a general idea on budget required for tyres.
