Hi all, please visit http://hc3msia.com/index.php?showtopic=67 to see how to enable the alarm for the boot. SC will do it FOC if you ask them to "enable the alarm for the boot". I've asked SC to do mine - it's a 5 mins job. I hope they have done that by default for latest NHC batches.
*
its simple la, just detach the socket by urself only ...

remove the clithingy, and detach the socket and replace the carpet lining clip ... done

I have recently got the rear windscreen redone by this one tinting company - Tint Garage, initially they redid the front as there were some sort of fuzziness on the tint and the back as well when i complained the light spread was quite bad at night.

So they took out the tint they did - front and back, cleaned the mirror and redid it both front and back.

Few days later this is when i noticed the scraping of the back mirror he did to clean the glue or whatever on the screen has caused some of the heating strips/lines on the rear windscreen scraped off, this the thing they do with the soap water and safety blade, where he runs the blade across the screen ...

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

So that was 2 weeks ago, and i did not turn the heater on as its not advisable to turn it on for the first 2 weeks till the tint has properly cured/dried... Come today it was raining and i turned it on and this is what happened..

Only the top few lines are working and the rest are not ...

Only small half portion of the rear windscreen's heater is working to clear the fog ...

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

What should i do now? go back to the tint shop first? or go honda and check if this is caused by the scraping and how much to replace the rear windscreen? i dont think there is anything can be done on the windscreen besides replacing it ...

or should i go back to my SA, as he recommended the tint shop

what if the tint shop denies responsibility ...

and i was not given the original receipt, they gave me a second receipt for the replacement ...

this is giving me a bad headache ...

bro.. sorry to hear this things happen to you...

first why dont u go to service centre to check it... if it is really broken then ask then tint shop to cover the cost of repairing it... if they refuse then u can take it to Tribunal Tuntutan Penguna on ur case..

QUOTE(mcliong1 @ Apr 21 2011, 11:06 AM)
I asked the SA last time before i replace with new tint. He said will void that heater because the problem caused by the tinted person.
*
some has been saying that once you tint the back windscreen and you remove it, the heating strip is definitely a goner ... and they need to inform on that - which they did not ...

and best part, is that i complain front and not the back ... i was ok with the back ...

and now like this ... sad ...

next time ask uncle google first http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VTEC
*
looking at the repair kit, i can definitely say the damage is caused by them when they ripped off the tint film ...

i was at the shop today and he was telling me its puzzling as the tint is barely 2 months old, therefore ripping it off will not affect the heating strips ...

looking at the way the repair can be done with the kit, and the extent of the damage on mine, its beyond repair ...

QUOTE(blstz @ Apr 26 2011, 10:38 AM)
Hopefully can get car next week.  biggrin.gif

Wanna share my experience at JPJ yesterday. Actually whole afternoon i only waited for the Ketua Cawangan to have a look at release tender number. I arrived around 2pm and waited outside his office till almost 3:45 before he came.  ohmy.gif I had a look at the remaining tender number and only saw one that i might be interested in. Anyway, decided to go back to counter to check on other number. The ketua left the office with me around 3:50pm and said he'll be back in 10 minutes in case i need him to release the tender number.

Went back to the counter, and found that a lot of the numbers in their book are not crossed out.  ohmy.gif And the counter didnt even bother to tell me that when i took the book from her. Imagine i kept writing down a few numbers that i like only to be told later on that "sudah registered"  sad.gif  End up wasted a lot of time to double check whether the number in the book still available. Im sure it'll be easier if they update the book and cancel off those number that are not available anymore. Save time from the officer and me going through the numbers one by one. In the end i decided to get the tender number, that was around 4pm so i waited for the ketua. Until 4:50pm he didnt come back. Means from 2pm till 5pm he was in the office for 10 minutes only.  doh.gif So last last went home empty handed.

Obviously still not efficient enough. The worst thing is that, no one knew where he was or what he's doing or when he'll be back. I asked so many officers there, all tidak tahu. At least he should inform his staff that he's going out of office. Quite a frustrating and tiring experience.  sad.gif

Anyway, i came home and wrote down more numbers and this morning i went back, luckily got one i wanted still available.

Interested in the price of body kit also.
*
yeah bro - i feel u, same shit here as well ... i was there, asked the officer said i wanted to check the list, and he said director not in, then he pointed out he was walking outside, and said tunggu kejap nanti dia masuk balik ...

waited for like 2 hours ... went lunch came back still not there ... mother f***er ...

so i just ciaoed and told my SA to go ahead and get whatever number he like ... because of this car delayed over the weekend

but the number i got was quite ok la ... ada sikit ong ...

lesson here is ... f*** jpj

True that. Im not denying the Insight is a great buy. Its just that its my personal preference. Dont really like cars with rear drum breaks. Like most of the nissans sold here. Anyway glad u are happy with both the Hondas.

hahah this is the thing, or else i would have gotten something from Nissan ... i just dont like the fact that u pay so much for a car and cant get all 4 on discs brakes ...

they say its to reduce cost ...service cost

feel free to do so. I am owner of both and I am comparing the two cars it is still relevant to NHC I do not find there is a prob with it at all. Ppl who are keen to know abt NHC can allow get to discuss abt the performance, quality etc as compared to other same range of car. Why can't discuss abt things such as how it fairs as compare to other same range of cars for their interest? I dun think as a intelligent NHC owner needs to just be contented from good words abt NHC and refuse to take in comments on it flaws and la kings which appeared to be such narrowed hearted

The this with ur postings.. Every other post u will mention - "why not get a insight.."

This is strictly nhc thread if u wanna have a thread that discusses
On nhc and insight .. Go create on an I am sure with u having both, you wOupd be able to provide good review and comments on them

But it's definitely not here..

judging by fc, its bout 10+km per litre ... we can still drive safely for bout 100km plus rite ...

Hi ppl, may i ask those who had bought the Honda City recently, how long does it take to get your car (from the day you place the booking)?? I've been waiting for more than a month already (placed the booking on the end of March, Alabaster Silver) and there's still no news on the car yet. De SA actually promised us that I could get the car within 2-3 weeks when my dad placed the booking  sad.gif

ya la. that's why i said he nvr insured the windscreen before that, and that's why i wonder how come need to wait then can claim. now got problem with windscreen already then he insure, of course the insurance company knows this trick for ppl la. actually quite cunning  tongue.gif

Added on May 10, 2011, 5:58 pm

how come need to insure so much? rm2500? NHC windscreen so expensive? this amount u take into the consideration of all the windscreen (front, rear and side) and probably plus labour rite? else i dun think so expensive will it cost for the repair.
so rm2500 u actually cover every possible damage of the glass except side mirrors.

or u counted the cost of the replacement of tint inside, so insure so much?

besides, if insured rm2500, u need to pay rm375, not rm300 becos u need to pay 15% of the insured amount.
last year, my SA told me to insure rm1k which i paid rm150. I just renewed my insurance but i nvr include the windscreen coverage, but after thinking for a nite, feel that safer to include, so just now when i went to collect my new roadtax, i asked them to help to include again.

i asked my dealer lady who in charge of the insurance one she advised to insure rm1k, so i paid rm150 only. it is the cost of the front windscreen only (i think it is the most expensive one among all as well as the most highly chance will get damage one?).

i think in most case, maybe won't be so jialat that all the windscreen glass break together rite? so i think it should be enough. tongue.gif better than nvr insure at all.
*
mine is at RM225 ... not sure why but thats the amount recommended by SA ... RM225 is RM1.5k insured ?

and fyi, quote from Honda SC for the back windscreen complete parts with labour is 950++

so a rough estimate on how much u need to insure

anyone knows how much for front and sides?
