Hey guys to those who installed the K&N drop in air filter in your car. When you first open the box, there was a plastic where the filter is placed in it right? Does the plastic has K&N markings on it? I just bought one and everything is the same except the plastic is just plain transparent.

I have the car for bout 1 month now, did the tint when i got the car on the same day.

Now during the day, under the sun, when i looked at the tint on the front windscreen, i can actually notice lines which makes the vision sort of distorted, you cant really see it unless u look and focus on the mirror itself ...

Is this a defect? Can i get it fixed or redone?
Brand is Tintgarage ...

May i ask how long was it after u tint ur car that u saw the lines, if its a few days after u tint ur car then the
Lines are normal. But bubbles are not normal.

If its already 1 month and still got
The lines then u shud ask them to redo it.

guys im going to get my honda city next week tuesday.
is it okay if i drive it for 10 hours long journey on thursday/friday?
because i read/heard that new car need to 'run' or 'engine break in' for certain speed until a minimum distance. is it true?
if yes than what should i do until i can drive it for a long journey?

as far as I concern, the 'running period' does not include the distance (eg: you cannot drive for more than 300km at once). tongue.gif.

running period mean you cannot exceed the speed (eg: 100kmph for the first 1000 km). As for my case, I dont care. Straight away give 120kmph when I got the car. tongue.gif. If not mistaken, no statement in honda booklet so I guess, it should be fine to drive 180 kmph at your 1st km.

With full synthetic engine oil it actually causes worse FC. No noticeable difference in terms of performance. I switch to semi after that

if u ask me.. it is useful as it reduce the risk of getting ur car stolen.. this to add to the steering lock that im using now ... if you looking from risk management aspect..

further more, the cost of installing it is around 3% of your car value ( e spec.)..

it is your call anyway...

That is because Honda's Fully Synthetic oil is rated at a weight of 40 as compared to Semi Synthetic weight of 30.

i would suggest u to install it for peace of mind. read a few pages back to see that my car is stolen after only driving it for 5 days. even with additional brake lock. already confirmed not towed, it was DRIVEN away. insurance appointed investigators mentioned that he got 3-4 cases of stolen city every week in klang valley alone. and that number is only from ONE appointed investigators, can't imagine what are the number combined . financial loss was quite significant even though i can get full insured sum. (ncd, items in the car, interest paid/penalty for early settlement to the bank, cost of travelling/making calls to various parties, alternate transport arrangements, etc). luckily i haven't done any tinting yet, that's my consolation.

other city owners, old or new, just take extra precautions.
