5G owner, my car reached 45k mileage. I planning to change a new set of tyres. Still using the stock GY Excellence E spec.
Firstly, there's a slight hump on my front left hand side. Secondly the GY stocks are damn noisy. 3rdly, the threads are quite worn off soon. Any good recommendations? mid range budget. Thanks |

QUOTE(IlDivinCodino @ Mar 31 2011, 12:49 AM) K&N only cost maximum RM255 here inclusive of installation No, he didnt manage to open the trunk (maybe he is a noob) so my laptop is safe. I'm sure you can get even cheaper than the price I said with those bulk orders going around in lowyat if I'm not wrong. You can fix it by installing the boot trunk release. Which means like Earl-ku said, you'll need a new number plate to cover up the trunk with the key hole. Then your trunk can only be open from the inside or with your car keys. Your car keys will have a 3rd button to press and release the trunk Sorry to hear about the stolen laptop though. But take it as an important lesson to not leave your laptop in your car no matter what If i fix the trunk release, do i need to change my key? Zzzzz. |

QUOTE(asyraff @ Mar 30 2011, 09:04 PM) Sharing my new tyres and rims feel much more lighter and improved fuel consumption wow... nice rims.. how much is that?? these hankok tyre good???Added on March 31, 2011, 1:47 pm QUOTE(IlDivinCodino @ Mar 30 2011, 02:33 AM) If it feels bumpy then there's an option. You can try to not pump too much air into your tyres. But you have to constantly monitor the air to make sure it doesn't drop too much. I would love to get the 45 one as well but my workshop guys have already calculated the height of my car. With just an addition of more or less 200kg, the tyre will touch the side ceiling of the car. Thats going to be very bad on the long run if you constantly fetch people in your car. If you drive alone most of the time, then shouldn't be a problem lor oh... ok then. do u know how many PSI should be better??? currently i put 36 in front and 35 on the back...Added on March 31, 2011, 1:49 pm QUOTE(-PuPu^ZaPruD3r- @ Mar 30 2011, 09:23 PM) Same rims as mine.. cuz i heard from the policeman that nowadays some thief they damm hitech one, they use tow truck when found out your car got pedal lock and etc. They disguise as tow company which tow for banks and then do what they want, no one will notice. By then, apa apa super duper gadget, immobilizer also no use d. Mayb the satellite tracking package might still help.

QUOTE(Eclipse80 @ Mar 31 2011, 01:26 PM) No, he didnt manage to open the trunk (maybe he is a noob) so my laptop is safe. No, you don't have to change your key. They just modify some devices in that black cover on your key only (the one with 2 buttons to lock and unlock car one). Then they plug some sensor on your trunk. Make sure all plug and play stuff. Don't go for those that requires any hole drilling etc. My friend changed all these including the full number plate to cover the original key hole. Damage was around RM200++ If i fix the trunk release, do i need to change my key? Zzzzz. PM me if you need more help on this. I can recommend the shop who did it for my friend to you QUOTE(mcliong1 @ Mar 31 2011, 01:43 PM) oh... ok then. do u know how many PSI should be better??? currently i put 36 in front and 35 on the back... Try putting 35 in front first and see how it feels. Same with your back tyres. All this is trial and error. All up to your personal preference on bumpyness and harder shock when go into potholes. Let me put it this way. The more air in your tyre, the more bumpy when you drive. The less air in your tyre, the more harder the bump when you go on potholes and bumps. Try not to differ too much from your optimum tyre pressure. Maximum 1PSI higher or lower. 1PSI lower is alot already actually. Better to measure in kPa as the denomination is lower and there's more room to play with.Added on March 31, 2011, 1:49 pm hi, how much is the S1 Evo??? izit good? i want to change my bad bad quality of FalkeX 552 to other?? any recommend?? Check out the tyre thread for a general idea on budget required for tyres. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1005735 Of course at the end of the day, what you pay is what you get. Michelin is the best |
