It is time to learn the illegal art of outrunning the law like in the 90s.

Do you know in the trailer that forest track reminds me of the previous hot pursuit on the PS2, the last one....I think its Hot Pursuit 2 where the forest got burning =)
*
The track where there's forest fires going on? With the smoke fog and stuff? There's a ramp on the right of the track just at the road side if I'm not mistaken there's a stream of river at the side track of the road. Nostalgic racing experience!

probably not buying this game base on the demo.
QUOTE(Cyphereza @ Nov 2 2010, 12:48 PM)
If GT5 ain't out yet when this game releases, I might buy this game... hmm.gif
Is it really that bad? Was it because of handling?

You mean button customisations on the DualShock 3 Sixaxis wireless controller like Super Street Fighter 4? This button for acceleration, that button for braking, so on and so forth...

Rapid Response sometimes quite hard la. Me always crash at barrier or head on collision with oncoming traffic thus increasing the penalty time. Huh!.. Any tips....
Better reflexes and look ahead of the traffic makes thing easier for you. Don't forget to brake, accelerate, brake on your way through sharp corners. Here's a copy of the game...

It looks worse than it actually is. Tomorrow gonna feel the blister.
I had the same feeling too! My left hand palm was pretty much numbed after I-don't-know-how-long I played NFS:Hot Pursuit but it was well until 4am!

what level unlock veyron? tongue.gif

must try
I'm at level: FELON II. Bugatti Veyron has yet to be unlocked. By the way, the showcase movies was a dismay. It's not high resolution enough. Sigh...Anyway, the sexy female voice in the brief car-introductory is good!

He has the need. The need for speed! WOW! A whooping lapse of 30-40 seconds. That's some serious rubber burning in action. WOW!

You were given the chance of having a go at handling those two beasts at the beginning/mid game. I'm at level 7 and those two yet to be unlocked.

My favourites are Bugatti Veyron 16.4, Lamborghini Gallardo, Koenigsegg CCX, Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster, Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera and Nissan GT-R SpecV (R35) is great but feels like a snail...if you know what I mean.

Is there any reward for getting all Golds? I managed to get straight Golds for certain areas of interest, especially near the desert area there. However, I had a problem whereby I do not have any EMPs, Spike Strips, Turbos and Jammers.

There's only three racers (me and another 2 in lightweight exotics). It's freaking me out...I tried couple of times but to no avail. (I nearly got a Gold in that event but there's a FREAKING ROADBLOCK at the last corner just a few metres (I SWEAR IT!) in front of the finishing line. WHAM! BANG! Silver it is. SERIOUSLY WTF??!! moment.

maybe everyone is still happy with their own purchased, hehe....and one more thing, if you buy this game and not play it online, i think it such a waste... laugh.gif
These days, yes. It's all about Internet connectivity. The online gaming experience differs entirely. It saddens me at times too...

Finally straight Golds! After trying it on countless occasions, I finally made it! One thing thou, my lap time were slower 04.00 than my best time and yet I was awarded with Gold medal. Hmmm...all I remembered was the Koenigsegg CCX crashed onto a road block on the last two corners before the finishing line. LUCKY ME! I think sometimes it's not about getting the fastest lap time but randomness of traffic collisions and police interceptions/interruptions play an integral part whether you get first place or second place.

@joey : congrats on the gold .. dats for racer only / cop only / or both ?
Both. There's a few sections left. I have some problem busting arse during night time with lightweight exotics. There's one time where I busted this fella in his lightweight car in 57++ seconds. Less than a minute! WTF??!! The benchmark for Gold is 4 minutes but I did it in less than a minute. I'll try to take a snap shot of the time.

Still playing Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit every now and then. Bagged another two Golds yesterday I'm on track. Few sections are in straight Golds and I'm pretty much impressed of myself. Level 13 at the moment and most of the cars are unlocked.

Taking my time to tackle each courses as racer or a cop. I have other things to do besides gaming...Anyway, still waiting for my Gran Turismo 5. When is Saturday??!!

I got this off another forum.. sorry if i'm slow:

NFS: 1 Mill Views Race
"We're thrilled to see that a lot of you are loving Hot Pursuit as much as we are. We all knew that Autolog was something special, but you guys are proving that it's going to change racing games forever. We actually feel sort of guilty for ruining so many friendships over the last week -- with over 3 million challenges exchanged already, it's clear that all is fair when it comes to the Speedwall. So now we have a challenge for all of you! The dev team has put together a pack of 3 supercar convertibles -- the Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible, the Lamborghini MurciƩlago LP 650-4 Roadster , and the Dodge Viper SRT10 Convertible Final Edition. If we can get the Need for Speed Hot Pursuit launch trailer to 1 million views by December 12th, these three amazing rides will be our little holiday gift to all of you playing Hot Pursuit. The race is on!"
Is this for real?
This is AWESOME!

if someone emp me usually i slowdown then emergency break

but that day the cop emp so freaking fast .
now i know why when we play that time there is tips saying emp most effective at sharp turn
Why not put your self in haste and step on the gas? Jamming their system is another way to go but legging it is the first option.

speaking of jammers..it's so unfair! tongue.gif

if you are trailing a cop and he drops a spike strip, the jammer even clears that off the road! shocking.gif

i can understand EMP being jammed by the jammer, but spikes too? sweat.gif
I think scientifically, possible. It's electronically built after all. Yes, it clears the spikes strip too.
