For my personal update, bagged another two Golds yesterday. Gold: 2:00 and I managed to scrapped through at 1:36.73. The one that gets on my nerves: Plenty of intersections, a shortcut route, and jammer in place. Racer can pull a trick like Christ Angel. Now you see me, now you don't. From hot pursuit to cooling down phase to racer escaped. Sigh...

QUOTE(8L@Z3 @ Dec 2 2010, 02:37 PM) i find it hard to c the road during night races, any idea on how to increase the gamma/brightness ? I felt the same too. I was straining my eyes watching out for in-coming traffics, the route, the bends...so on and so forth especially during night and rainy night. There was once I thought the route was heading left and when I was near it, I was exchanging paint with the concrete walls...Sigh.

QUOTE(ur4m3shi @ Dec 3 2010, 11:01 AM) Yes. It can manually switched off. For cops, just press the TRIANGLE button. There's 3 different type of sirens. The forth will be switching off the blaring siren. Give it a try but keep you eyes on the road so that, ermm...you know.

What's the reward for getting all Golds in every single events? I'm still off with a couple of Silvers and Bronze. Completed my career as a cop at Level 18 and my racer is at Level 17 at the moment. HYPER SERIES are unlocked thus far.
I'm grinding an hour every night for bagging home some Golds if possible. I think I can pull it off. WAHOO!

Hmmm...only trophies. Might as well go for all Golds since that I've been aiming for Gold for every event. I hate Rapid Response.
Wall: Deduction of 2 seconds. On coming car: Deduction of 3 seconds. OUCH!

R2 all the way, drift in apex, depends on whether there's a car on the left or right side of the road. Tap a little on L2...once I pull the car almost in the straight position, it's either step on R2 or NITROUS BLAST from there. Sometimes we get extra filling on the nitrous bar when drifting. Hehehe~~~

QUOTE(Mgsrulz @ Dec 6 2010, 05:59 PM) why is it a waste, when you're maintaining speed? Sometimes the nitrous blast can be used to correct one's cornering. Especially when you are about to hit the wall on the side, you just inject some nitrous and save your self from exchanging paint with the wall instead. Nifty technique but it works for me! Wakakakaka~~~

I love engaging in pursuit. It's hard to grind those racers to a halt but the adrenalin pumping experience worth every seconds I spent in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. 10-17, 10-17.

QUOTE(Kyoyagami @ Dec 16 2010, 01:22 PM) In case no one knows (and I didn't until yesterday), you can use Jammers to also Jam Spike Strips. neat. It does so to helicopter that drops the spike strips too. Sweet!

EMP-ed twice throughout the whole game. I rather EMP blast those cars instead. I didn't know what it does but all I can see it's being electrocuted in some way thou. Hmmm...

QUOTE(Kyoyagami @ Dec 16 2010, 01:49 PM) Sadly, I couldn't select the targets of the EMP blast though.
Or can i? Odd, isn't it? I couldn't select the target too...Something that being overlooked?

The least I used was EMP blast. Be it a racer or chaser. I find them, ermmm...a bit useless. If only they add more radio transmission during in-game, that would be cool! Once I've hit Level 20, the bounty stops right there at 2,000,000 if I'm not mistaken.
Worst case scenario for a cop on pursuit: Being system jammed and the racer pulled a 360 turn...and got away (out of range). I HAD THAT MOMENT THRICE AND I BLOODY HATE IT!

I maxed out on:
Racer : Most Wanted (Level 20) Cop : Ultimate Enforcer (Level 20)
The bounty figure stops at 2,000,000. A few Silvers and Bronzes left. I re-play Final Fantasy XIII...Hopefully will be motivated enough to get a few more Golds in Hot Pursuit.
To achieve 150km/h on the corners, I tried nitrous blast my way to increase my speed and once I see the apex, I apply late braking technique, and maintain my course (without scrapping at the walls or fences, or any thing on the side and of course, on-coming cars as well)...that's how I maintain my speed on corners.

I got this theory...If you a cop, when you tail someone within the vicinity, the chances for your helicopter bust (spike strip) increases. But when you are miles away, the chances are slim. Hmmm...might be wrong but that's what I've noticed for a while. QUOTE(Maximp @ Dec 21 2010, 09:19 AM) kmh or mph? 150kmh kinda slow at corners wor i thought usually maintained above 200kmh What's the default metric value (since I didn't change it in the menu setting)? I think I got it wrongly there... This post has been edited by Joey Christensen: Dec 21 2010, 09:30 AM
