i make it for my Dip. Final exam..

512 MB RAM (use minimum cos i want to cut the cost)
400GB 2.5" hdd
300watt mini atx psu
external 8x DVD rom
1 cooling fan

Overall cost + tools around RM 900

Wondering mini-ITX using LGA 1156 can fit using slightly bigger biscuit tin anot

Get a B- for a biscuit tin.
Get a A+ for a coca-cola tin.

BTW how did you mount or secure the mobo on the top layer. It is not quite clear on the pictures, but it looks like you put it on a piece of cardboard or something?

EDIT: Did you manage to find any external power supply adapter for atom so that we can make the whole box smaller?

i think u can improve the heat dispersion by drilling some small holes on top of the case. juz suggestion.

You can drill some hole on top for the processor airflow

If hot can bake some cookies inside make more profit XD

Nice Mod >.< would suggest you to reinforce the Tin ... cause you know la cepat dent the tin. A+ for effort >.<

what final year project is this? modding a PC into some biscuit tin?
i dont know how your lecturer think about your project. but for me, this shouldnt be call as final year project.
what you want to prove? to be creative?
if on top of your mini box pc have some robotic arm, or some electronic circuit, thats fine. but this?

i take diploma kemahiran not akademik so this project for sure can be accept by lec.
other i can make a database or making a tender that for me so hard to do.
