QUOTE(xavi5567 @ Jul 21 2010, 06:37 PM) white dust? i think is becos u use wood chip as bedding.. johnson baby oil????? tq, is it the reason? the moving white dust is very small i think lice or flea i dont know. the oil is to kill the the moving white dust (i remember when i was child and had kutu, my mother letak minyak tanah/ kerosene on my hair and kutu terus mati), after two days i used johnson baby syampoo on my gp. The moving white dust has gone.Looks like i have to stop using the wood chip. This post has been edited by shukri77: Jul 21 2010, 07:16 PM |

tg xavi. thank god, my Jojo doesnt have that symptom. How do you treat lice problem? i dont find any syampoo for treating lice dedicated for gp but there's a lot (dangerous for gp) for cat and dog or you bring to vet?
Actually at first I want to see vet, but i found in internet that some people use olive oil to treat lice and flea. I tried baby oil instead of olive oil (cause i think baby oil is milder than olive oil). Is there any vaccin or injection for guinea pig like vaccin for dog and cat? Eventhough I am very new to guinea pig (just 1 month) but i love guinea pig so much than my fish and hamster. Holding guinea pig like holding a baby and you can feel its scare, comfort and appealing feeling. I hope i can live happily with my gp. |

QUOTE(xavi5567 @ Jul 22 2010, 08:47 AM) actually normally i use vinegar to treat them.. But u will need to use it a couple of time.. Jus bath them with warm water, and johnson baby shampoo and then rinse liao soak them in a container containing vinegar + warm water solution.. The ratio is 50:50 then slowly drop to 10:50 thanks. Actually baby oil is mineral oil so it is harsher than olive oil.. For shoot, yes there is , ivermetin or revolution for cat is normally use but u need to noe the dosage lor.. Ivermetin is injection type while revolution is application type.. Shampoo for flea and mites.. Got la.. Jus go to pet shop.. Those shampoo for rabit or cat can be use Lungchum: Yup vinegar 100 % jus pour the vinegar on the spot and soak for a while .. It is gone... |

QUOTE(emino @ Aug 7 2010, 03:04 PM) Hay is mandatory. Without hay, they would not get the nutrients that they can only get from hay, thus weaken their immune system, stunt their growth, steals their appetite and eventually, slowly, weaken them to their premature death. My gp dont like or dont eat hay (orchard grass from living world brand) even after i put only hay and no other food inside the cage. Can you tell me what type and brand of hay your gp eat? Maybe the hay i bought is not delicious. FYI i put hay 24 hrs in the cage. My gp eat salad, pellet, and sometimes it want cucumber.Heres some more advices regarding hays: This post has been edited by shukri77: Aug 8 2010, 11:18 AM |

QUOTE(streethype @ Aug 12 2010, 02:22 PM) hey guys i'd like to ask beside cabbage and apple, what other 'snacks' or treats does GP like? yesterday I bought cabbage and apple for my GPs thinking they could enjoy some other treats rather than the usual pellets/hay but they seem to like it at all.. din even take a bite.. The vegies i give to my gp are salad and cucumber. My gp make different sound for each vegi. wit 3 times for salad and wit 4x for cucumber. |
