It may not be the Oil Spill at the Mexico Gulf. Could you explain the last line which make reference as enemy.

"Enemy" .. i could say enemy to the nature or "enemy" to the people, and the take up "weapon"(shovel & bucket) to defend the shore line..
Ill put it that way in my term.
The crude oil do kill wild life, fauna and livehood of the people and seafood they eat.

I still it may refer to something else. Shovels and buckets are not unfamiliar weapon equipment to Nostradamus.

Smith, I am sorry to hear Mr. N screwed up your academic life. While I can accept some of Nostradamus stuff, I believe when the end is near there is no need for dooms day prophets to preech it. Everyone will know it instinctively.

I'd like to think that when the end of the world is here, it'll be very loud and bright and be over in a few seconds...

Usually the creatures in touch with nature will sense it. Human and domesticated animals are not in touch with nature. When we see more and more animals acting strangely we had the instinctive feeling its comming. Big bang will happen if there is going to be one big explosion.

Back to the topic, I dont think Nostradamus predicted the end of the world.

That's assuming he wanted/was capable of being this descriptive.

Then why would he say "it shall climb the walls as an enemy" if was an oil spill? Shouldn't he say something like "it clung to to the sands of the beach, like paint on a canvas". That does not require "knowledge of a sailor" either.

Those are my thought too, Smith.

I think this is another event. Just wait on it miri. I am sure this event will unfold in due time.
