Mengikut DNA yang dilakukan kepada 86 lelaki Melayu oleh seorang professor perempuan di UKM baru-baru ini, terdapat 27% variant Mediterranean dalam darah DNA Melayu. Dalam kamus sains, DNA Mediterranean adalah dari bangsa Euro-Semitik termasuk dari keturunan atas Bani Israel!
