You have a good theories there, but I believe it is difficult to find the pure 'lost tribe' unless we trace their family tree. As you know 'Orang Melayu' is categorized as 'seseorang yang menganuti agama Islam, lazim bercakap bahasa Melayu, menurut adat Melayu', means a non-trully malay can be declared as a malay in Malaysia. Even according to wikipedia Malay can be categorized to Malaysian Malay(Malaysian Malays) or General Malay (Malays (Ethnic Group))

I wonder how to trace the lost tribe as the terms already so saturated.
