Hi all, need you guys to recommend me a good gamepad that is compatible with Windows 7 and have vibration feedback feature. I use to have a cheap one with vibration feature, but now on Windows 7, the driver is not compatible and the vibration don't work without driver I use mostly for console emulators (Sega Genesis, PS1, PS2) and also some PC driving games Another problem I wish to avoid is the direction button sometimes accidentally press other buttons, like when I press left or right, it also press down the top or down button Thanks all

I recommend Saitek Cyborg Rumble Pad. It's an Xbox360 controller pad layout, but can swap the d-pad and left analog position to make it looks like Playstation controller layout.
It's little pricey than normal Xbox360 wired/wireless controller, but it worth.

Hot And Cold Running Game Controllers
QUOTE Hot And Cold Running Game Controllers When you play with thermoelectrics, you're bound to get burned, or possibly chilled.
Researchers from the at the Tokyo Metropolitan University have discovered that certain something that's been missing from every video game that's ever featured lava and ice levels: ThermoGame, a video game interaction system that delivers sensations of hot and cold to the player.
How does it work? Small solid-state devices use electricity to generate and remove heat. It's all based off of the Peltier effect, named after the French physicist Jean-Charles Peltier, who discovered the temperature-changing effects of electrical currents in 1834.
A pair of these devices is housed in the upper and lower halves of a video game controller's casing. At appropriate times during gameplay, the devices activate, rapidly cooling or heating the controller surface, bringing the sensation to temperature change to the player's hands.
While the change in temperature is small, with only a ten degree difference in the controller's temperature in five seconds, researchers found that this small change provides enough of a sensory nudge to draw players deeper into the virtual environment.
The technology, presented at SIGGRAPH 2010 this week, was developed in cooperation with the National Institute of Special Needs Education, with potential uses including temperature-based control mechanisms for use by the blind.
It might not be smell-o-vision, but this is definitely a step in the right direction. Source: KotakuInteresting technology.

The Beautiful Anatomy of A Video Game Controller QUOTE What lies beneath the plastic skin of your PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 controllers? If concept artist Mads Peitersen was designing the gamepads we play with, they'd be bony, fleshy living things with teeth.
Peitersen's anatomical paintings of the DualShock and Xbox 360 controller (and the iPhone!) are awesome works of art, but they're also the creepiest game controllers we've seen this side of eXistenZ. Let's hope this is just the tip of the artistic iceberg, because I'm personally curious to see the guts of a Wii Remote and Atari 2600 joystick. QUOTE Check out the rest of Peitersen's work at deviantArt, where one can buy this in print form if their heart desires. Source: Kotaku

I had all those controllers before.
Rumblepad 1 very intuitive for games like Mechwarrior.
Rumblepad 2 and Xbox 360 are more suitable for new games and are more or less the same.
Xbox 360 being easier because you won't need to map the controls.

You should get Xbox 360 because can support many games. The problem about rumble pad 2 is the lack of game support but the controller is really comfortable to use though.

Thanks for reply. Hmm.. can cordless rumblepad 2 support games for windows title? Eg, lost planet 2, arcana gothica, sfiv or upcoming cod black ops? Kinda used to play fps with controller due to effect of xbox 360. but now my xbox 360 has been sold. Feel waste if buy back coz my rig is mid end game spec.

Generally I'll say go with wired, not worth your time to go with wireless, gotta change battery quite frequent. With Rumblepad 2 you'll gotta configure it manually most of the time, while Xbox 360 controller don't need to (for most games that is)

Did you install the latest drivers for Logitech Rumblepad 2? It worked quite well for me in DiRT2, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5 and the Last Remnant.

This Is Apparently The Ultimate Gaming Advantage QUOTE Behold The Avenger, an Xbox 360 controller prosthesis that promises to improve your accuracy and reaction time. Steven says "It's almost like having extra fingers." We say "Who the hell is Steven?"
This Is Apparently The Ultimate Gaming Advantage Steven's quote appears on the front of the web page for The Avenger, and while I suspect he is one of the many people featured in the site's testimonial video for the controller, I'd rather not verify that. I think of him as a collection of all the Stevens in the world: The Over-Steven.
Over-Steven loves The Avenger, so I don't see why we shouldn't. The bizarre-looking device straps on to the Xbox 360 controller, increasing the sensitivity of the buttons and triggers in order to allow for rapid, fluid movements. I'm not sure if it looks amazing or ridiculous. If hard-pressed I'd say it looks like an Xbox 360 controller attempting to cosplay.
The adapter comes with a stabilizing tripod, tension straps, and hair triggers. It even has sensitivity adjusters, which I like to imagine transform the average Xbox Live gamer from one that insults your mother to one that asks after her health.
Probably not.
Will The Avenger up your game? Is it truly the ultimate gaming advantage? It's hard to imagine, not having seen one up close and in action. Over-Steven loves it, but is that enough?
Manufacturer iControl has slapped a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee on it though, so if you don't like it you can always get your $59.00 back eventually. Source: Kotaku
