Hi fellows,

I been trying to sort through a huge thread but was unable to find an answer.

So where is what I want to do, I want to stream my Astro B.Yond in High Def over my network at home. Because I am just too lazy to walk upstairs when I am in my office. I am open to any suggestion really, I believe the best method would be through a HTPC. Just need the right recording HD equipment to get it working eheh

Any suggestions? Does Astro B.Yond have HDCP encryption? I am currently not in Malaysia but will be come back soon.

Thanks
SnackMon

I'm not sure about the setup you're tryin to do but as far as I know, yes, Astro B.yond does have HDCP. They can also enable/disable your HDMI output remotely.

My best guess is: you can't stream it.

I would think a Slingbox will cater to your needs but it won't be in HD as the composite output from the B.yond STB is SD.

You may if you were able to hack the encryption and get the original digital stream sending over wireless lol... but this is illegal la... astro wont allow it

You just need a HD capture card to capture it anyway , it should work and do the trick
